Haven't been posting here lately but the only one I was surprised by was Cuffe but I suspect he was told there wouldn't be a role for him next season. Supposedly we should be hearing leaks about who we're targeting for PG sometime this week. Sounds like we intend to spend a good amount of money on whoever it is. 1 Quote
DCOrange Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Starting to hear buzz that William Kyle from UCLA is one of our transfer targets. My assumption is he'd be a depth PF/C type. 1 1 Quote

Long shot, as I see him staying on the west coast, but a guy can hope. Quote

Apparently the guy that we're secretly targeting scores a bit more than Dedan, but yeah, I've seen some other fans floating Dedan's name around as a guy they'd like to add. I still don't know who it is, but my best guess is that it's one of the following (listed in my guess as to the order of likelihood): Desmond Claude, USC Xaivian Lee, Princeton Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh TK Simpkins, Elon Ryan Conwell, Xavier Langston Reynolds, Northern Colorado I'm also fairly certain but don't know for sure that we're trying to get Quincy Ballard to come back home to be our starting C for next year. 1 Quote

DCOrange Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Apparently some buzz that we're talking to Nate Kingz, sharpshooter from Oregon State and Dishon Jackson, big man from Iowa State. Edited March 29 by DCOrange 1 2 Quote

I had never gotten information from the guy that initially mentioned William Kyle, but that name was so out of left field that I felt like he couldn't be making it up. Nate Kingz and Dishon Jackson are the other two names he said to keep an eye on and then the buzz around Kingz came in shortly after that. Haven't heard anyone else corroborate Dishon but still keeping an eye on that one given the guy's track record out of nowhere lol. Desmond Claude was a name that someone else mentioned to me and they've been reliable in the past. I don't think Claude has entered the portal yet though. 1 Quote

Dude is played at about every single level of college basketball LOL Quote

I'll take my chances on that every time even if the competition wasn't the best. 2 Quote

They just don’t have a league or any money to keep players. 2 Quote
DCOrange Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Some people that are in the know are saying Naithan George from GA Tech is our #1 target for PG and our assistant coaches just started following him on social media so we'll see what comes of that. Lot of teams interested in him. 1 Quote

Everything I've heard is that we just were not prepared for the NIL era at all and we are confident we know what we're doing now and at least for these next two years, should have plenty of money to go around. Carmelo is making sure the school is well-supported while Kiyan is here. Also, no insider info on this one, but just from what I've read about the guys that we've reached out to, my guess would be Jerry Deng is a name to keep an eye on. Grew up in Rochester before moving away and even when he transferred to Florida State, hes continued to bring up how much he loved and misses Rochester and he absolutely fits the mold that Autry is looking for. I just feel like this is a match that makes sense. 3 Quote
DCOrange Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) Actual insider info: we're making a push for Emmanuel Stephen from Arizona to be our backup C. Pretty raw player but 7 foot with athleticism. We'll see if we get it done but it sounds like that's who we've set our sights on. William Kyle to be the starting center and this kid to be the backup. Edited April 5 by DCOrange Quote
