Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Fresh thread for a fresh season. Lots of new faces, and seemingly more depth all over the floor. Feeling optimistic. LGO 🍊!! 2 Quote
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 24 Author Posted October 24 I think we’ll be appreciably more talented and deep this season. Freeman is going to be a stud. I like having new options at guard, and I’m interested to see what a healthy Chance Westry can contribute. Lampkin gives us stability and depth at center. If this 2025 class comes together like it seems to be, the future is certainly bright for the Orange. Quote
nemhoff Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Going to watch the exhibition game replay tonight. Seems like we have a bit of an unknown squad this year in terms of talent and what kind of team they will be. What I do like is that it seems that Red had fully imprinted this as his squad now, his recruits, bad apples are gone. i can’t wait to see a legit talent like Freeman play this year! Oh, and good to see the regulars back on the Cuse thread too! 1 Quote
The Poojer Posted October 29 Posted October 29 granted it was clarion, but they still know how to play top tier basketball. I thought syracuse looked really good, the kid from hofstra was nails, freeman looked really good for early on. lampkin was a beast inside and starling seems to be in fine form early on. This team has some serious depth. I expect them to be very exciting, will win some game they probably shouldn't and lose some games they should probably win. Should be a fun season 1 1 Quote
Buffalo716 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Should be a great year ACC is sleeping on SU.. alot of diversity and some really good talent ! This could be a sweet 16 team if they reach potential Luke Fennell a 6'6 guard from Australia committed the other day and I really like his game .. he will be a good player for the orangemen in 25 3 Quote
nemhoff Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Now that we have started a new thread for the new year, putting out the request from you guys that have "someone in the know" about potential recruits that can fill out next years class. I am wondering if there is any info on Anthony and Costanzo?? Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Anybody catch the LeMoyne game? Saw that it was a bit of a scare. (BTW, in other news, Qadir Copeland only played 13 minutes off the bench for McNeese State tonight. Still don’t understand why he transferred). Quote

Barley beating a D2 team at home is not a good kickoff 1 Quote

(BTW, in other news, Qadir Copeland only played 13 minutes off the bench for McNeese State tonight. Still don’t understand why he transferred). I watched most. Lazy defense in the first half, sloppy turnovers and missed free throws. They were down 8 early in the second half and then clamped down and dominated them like they should have. #13 seemed to me like our best player, but was good to see Starling and Bell begin to assert themselves and thats what lead the turn around. Freeman can be really good, but he needs better awareness on defense, seemed to take some plays off. Also LeMoyne had two players that had career highs in scoring and seemed to hit some big shots late to keep it close. Edited November 5 by Bray Wyatt 1 Quote
nemhoff Posted November 5 Posted November 5 This team has talent but for sure need time to gel and find their roles. Love what I saw from Davis last night. He is exactly what we need coming off the bench. Starling and Bell have to play better and take control offensively. Carlos has good pace for a new PG in a new system. Lemoyne played their butts off last night, good game for CNY. 1 Quote

I would say we have a pretty good chance. No idea about Costanzo. I’ll ask around. 1 Quote
The Poojer Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Chance Westry expected to take the court tonight. Looking forward to seeing how he does 1 Quote

nemhoff Posted November 13 Posted November 13 With (if) Kiyan decides to come to the Cuse that would push us pretty close to a top ten recruiting class for 2025. That is light years from the last 7-8 classes that Jimmy B got to the hill. 1 Quote

Who can't shoot from the wing... Is dubbed as a point forward but he doesn't have good enough handles... This guy was not Syracuse caliber 15 years ago Quote
