Bills sleepwalking

It also means that Tua is a much better player than he is given credit.

They looked horrible week 1 and snuck out a win and he looked atrocious against the Bills.

What that says to me is that their scheme has been figured out and the coach can't pivot. Tua is a 1 one read timing QB that can only be successful with an entire scheme built around that one concept.

I wonder whether Keon Coleman is still celebrating 'Rookie of the Week' and the Titans win or whether he has turned his focus to Seattle.

Do you have some history in mind of Coleman being prone to sitting on his laurels?

Or are you just obsessed with repeatedly saying stupid shlt?

If you have the two fastest WRs in the NFL and 3 of the fastest RBs in the NFL and you can't figure out a way to be competitive with a backup QB then maybe you're not the offensive genius everyone is hyping you up to be. They didn't look good with Tua in either the games he played.

The Fish's lack of offensive productivity also points to poor backup QBing IMO.

Nope, it is the history of the Bills sleepwalking when they underestimate an opponent and lose games they should not.  What our players sometimes forget is that those those "allegedly" weak opponents circle their game against the Bills and come fully prepared.  How many games did we sleepwalk through the first half (including last year) before suddenly coming to our senses and, in some cases, too late?

McDermott has a lifetime .629 winning percentage.

That's higher than John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Sean Payton Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan...

Do you have any actual data to backup your claim?

The Bills had that astounding record before the loss to the Baltimore (of never losing a game by more than 7 points in regular season for the past three seasons)...Ridiculous record.    The Bills are a very good team....they need to get over the hump in the playoffs to be deemed a great team.

Yes, he does.  He is a great coach and probably the best one we ever had (maybe a tie with Levy).  I would not change him for any other coach in the league today.

That said, when our team sleepwalks through an entire first half, we should call it out and not make excuses for the team.

It’s not worth it. He just likes to type sleepwalk, I think.

Apparently we don’t sleepwalk as much as most professional teams.

...and what about this leads you to believe that Coleman, specifically, has problems giving the next game on the schedule appropriate focus?

Lol I'm not worried about that.

I was commenting about what seems to be a completely arbitrary concern you threw out there: that Coleman might somehow get distracted by his good performance last week and not prepare/focus for the game this week. It was out of thin air...

Perhaps. singling out Coleman was a little unfair.  But, our team has a history of taking it easy against opponents we are favored to beat.  We shall see.  I have always rooted for the Bills, but never hesitate to call it out when they under-perform or do not seem to want the win as much as the other team.

They say one can end up doing things that one does while awake when sleepwalking, in this case I’m thinking ole whiskey breath has been at his keyboard busily rationalizing his REM filled synapse misfires,

This is a great chart.  And it illustrates our curse.

We have the bad fortune of being very good during the Chiefs dynasty when they are even better.

Rather than lose my mind, I have evolved in how I enjoy the Bills. If you offered me a Super Bowl victory this season followed by 17 years of drought era football, I would pass. I am not in the “one before I die” club. I enjoy a team that is competitive and a threat to win every year, so I’m hesitant when I hear calls for “all-in” moves. We swung for the fences with Von and got burned. You can only do that so many times.

I still get upset, but I’m fully aware it’s entertainment and I try not to let any one game foul my mood. I have the people here to do that for me!  😂

The Bills are getting into the habit of sleepwalking through games.  They often seem to lack the desire to compete and win.  But, when they do, they play as one of the best teams in the league.  The coaches seem generally ineffective in getting them pumped up.

Well, for the first time in 4 games, the Bills didn't get off to a slow start so hopefully we fixed that.
