I think right now it’s a unanimous Josh Allen win. Goff is driving a Ferrari. A loaded roster in Detroit.

Yeh can you imagine what Detroit would be doing on offense with Allen as QB? They would be putting up even more points than they are.

And the Bills would be in a fight for the division with Goff.

To @Governor ‘s point, that game may ultimately decide the MVP.  We beat Detroit and close well in our other games, going to be tough to deny Josh as MVP.  Detroit beats us and keeps on their run, Goff’s chances go up big-time.  Yes Goff is driving a Ferrari, but many were ready to crown Purdy as MVP last year until he stunk up the joint against the Ravens, and Baltimore finished with the best record.

Absolutely.  I think to this point Daniels IS the MVP, that team was hot garbage without him and a legit contender with it, but he’ll win OROY and not get the MVP this year.  The media loves Lamar, so any excuse for him to be in the race on the back side of this year will be used.  Mahomes numbers say he doesn’t really have a case, but the record is there and Josh is back to throwing picks, so he’s probably going to have that thrown in his face.    If the Bills some how pull the 1 seed, it will give JA a shot.  Otherwise, I’m assuming KC will get it and in that case, gotta think Mahomes gets MVP, he’s working with very little and still winning, even if the numbers are pedestrian.   Goff should be in the mix, but I don’t know if anyone really believes the success is not in spite of him and actually because of him.

How is he working with little...He has a starting RB in Hunt and all-world TE in Kelce.  He has a sensational rookie in Xavier Worthy.  To top it, he has the #1 defense

Don’t forget Hopkins. The guy who many claim is routinely better than Cooper, especially for the acquired value.

After the int in the first half it wasn't looking good for Josh's MVP run.

The play at the end changes everything.

That was his MVP moment.

His INT on 4th down? I mean it is all about perception even if that is dumb. Mahomes basically heaved a prayer at the start of the game for a pick, Allen has what appears to be a miscommunication on 4th down or maybe a throwaway that somehow got picked and he's making bad decision? Like he could have made a better one but he'd actually thrown it away it wouldn't have been much better.

Why do people even care about the MVP. If you don't win a Super Bowl it is just a consolation prize.

Super Bowl is much bigger but mvp would definitely change the narrative around Josh being overrated. I’d enjoy that chatter changing.

Only people that say Josh Allen is overrated are people creating controversy for clicks and views.  MVP is sort of a joke award. It is a bunch of sportswriters who are selected by the AP, and most of them are clueless or have an agenda.  Lamar Jackson is a great player but his stats last year were nowhere near MVP worthy.

so what’s your downside to Josh being recognized?

sure it’s not any of our number one targets for the year but it’s a pleasant feather in the cap still

why do you feel the need to cut against that grain out of all the things you could be contrarian about?

Winning an MVP before winning a Super Bowl is not ideal. One is some voted on nonsense and the other is earned on the field.

I hope this is sarcasm, otherwise it’s idiotic.   This is about as good as claiming Josh was loaded with weapons around him his whole career because they got him Diggs.

Hunt has barely held a job in the league the past 4 years, Kelce has fallen off a cliff and Worthy hasn’t done ***** yet.   The defense is good, not truly dominant, but they are good.

Didn’t Goff throw 5 INTS last week?

MVP to me should always go to the guy whose team would not be relevant without him. Right now that’s Josh Allen IMO

I think Goff’s 5 INT performance last week doomed his chances.

Well if earning the 1 seed means Josh also wins MVP, I’ll take it.

The Chiefs and many other teams have proven the #1 seed is not necessary. They beat the AFC #1 seed and then the NFC #1 seed last year.

Allen needs to win the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP before some regular season award that AP chosen voters select.

Mahomes is having his worse season as a pro that’s a joke

Strictly because right now he is the 1 seed probably. They almost always give it to the best QB that gets the 1 seed. Sometimes they give it to a player that gets the 2 seed. And name of course.  I agree with you but thats the way it goes.
