Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread

This guy is healthy and will be lining up against our receivers:

Riq Woolen, CB, Seattle Seahawks 6'4 - 209

Length is a weapon for defensive backs, but too much length can make it nearly anatomically impossible to be an effective coverage defender at the NFL level.

However, Riq Woolen is an outlier. Athletically, he shouldn’t really exist. His 4.26 40-yard yard dash is tied for the fifth-fastest time ever at the NFL Combine, while his 40-yard interception got him into the top 10 fastest speeds of the 2022 NFL season.

Easy.

This is why we have Mack Hollins. Why, you ask? We can trot him out wide and eat up space!

Carter and Bernard out means we can expect the Seahawks to attack the spine of our defense over and over again with a heavy dose of Ken Walker III. Frankly, that's likely what we could've expected if those guys were healthy and active, too.

The Seahawks will get their yards. It'll be critical to limit them to field goals and to get off to a fast start on offense, rather than spotting them 10-14 points before we "wake up", as we have done multiple times this year.

Amen on the wake up part.

Not too sure about the run part.  Contrary to popular opinion they don't have a good run game.  #9 has averaged less than 10 carries per game.  They're A passing team with a pass happy OC. The weather isn't going to be bad at least according to latest forecast.  Unlike some teams I know, when their top WR is out they have guys who can step up.   They're gonna be chucking the rock IMHO.  Hopefully we can get pressure on Geno.

I was planning to go a bar to watch this one but now I'm debating to stay home to hear what Brady has to say about Allen during the game.

I normally don’t care who the announcers are, but i’m actually looking forward to hearing Brady analyzing a Bills game.  Who knows, maybe he will only be a broadcaster for a couple seasons. With his minority ownership you get the feeling broadcasting is something he wants to try but maybe not for the long term.

not a snowball’s chance in hell 57% of fans in attendance at tomorrow’s game are rooting for the Bills.  How are they getting these numbers, exactly?

I tend to agree.  A good showing would be 20%.  Hopefully we have that much

Agreed. I hate it when fake crap like that. 57% bills fans, not even close.

I think they must have some algorithm that turns their ticket sales from certain zip codes into total game attendance…I doubt it’s very accurate though 🤣

Seahawks have only two OTs since all others injured.  Jason Peters may be activated from practice squad.

Jason Peters signed a contract to join the practice squad of the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced Tuesday.Oct 1, 2024

One way for team to pay for his exercise and meals.

When I saw Brady was going to become a broadcaster, I guess it didn’t quite click for me that he’d be calling Bills games. Makes me sick.

If anyone’s been watching the World Series there’s a commercial for bills Seahawks on Fox and it’s all about Tom Brady with no mention of the bills or Seahawks 😂

It is F*X and they push themselves more than shows.  I saw that when they had Gotham on I choose to wait until it came to video and now I watch it for free streaming site.
