What would be great is if the first time they had the ball they punched them in the face and stuffed the ball in the end zone.

Imagine how great it would be if they did it the first 5 times! :D

Because he’s an undersized linebacker who gets hurt in ways that only an undersized linebacker would? He’s like Milano in that way. Here for a good time not a long time.

I'm pretty sure any sized LB can get their ankle stepped on in the pile.

i never hoped to think of Jaquan Johnson again. good speed, good athlete, not great in our pro defense. i really thought he could step up with his athleticism and speed but as soon as he got to where he needed to be he'd drop the ball (figuratively) and often times be caught looking anywhere else but where he needed to be almost as if he was leodis mckelvin of the safety position. though i must say, mckelvin was underappreciated.

Agreed there.  I think the Bills shared your hope, that his knowledge of the game would improve and develop into an instinct that would let him shine.

Nope.

Point was, while I have sky-high hopes for Bishop, I think Rapp/Hamlin/Johnson is a significant step up from Bishop/Hamlin/Lewis right now

I wouldn't quibble with that.

But I think the goal that got wiped out during camp was probably Rapp/Bishop/Johnson with Hamlin the odd man out.

I'll be disappointed if we don't see that configuration by season's end.

It is certainly not good speed for a DB.  You say he had good speed and Hamlin is slow.  What was Hamlin’s 40?

I think we need to step away from the "underwear Olympics" and remember that playing time is not the same as 40 time.

Josh Allen ran what, 4.76?  Explain that he's really slow to all the defenders he evades on the field.

It would be nice.  But Bishop is (IMO) significantly behind the learning curve right now.  So we'll see.
