I think we need a little challenge, of which, there is none and doesn't seem like there will be any for the near future. All three opponents have NO quarterback. None. Cakewalk to the AFCE title. Why? Having a cakewalk division sure worked out well for Tom Brady. It’s like pretty much having a guaranteed playoff spot locked up every year. I love it 3 2 1 Quote

Not to mention that the Bills didn't have a division lead last year until Week 18 and it took a punt return for a TD to win it. 1 Quote

eball Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 So here we are one week later and it just keeps getting better. Every result in the AFC went our way yesterday except Houston and KC. We’ve now overcome the loss to Baltimore and lead them by a game. The division could be all but wrapped up in the next month. Show no mercy to the Fish next week, Bills…sweep the leg! 3 1 Quote

Big Turk Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It's a 4 game lead because the Fins already have had their bye and are 2-5, not 2-6. Quote

If the patriots beat the Jets next week, we could very well have a 6 game division lead heading Into the chiefs game *assuming we take care of business. The earliest an NFL division has ever been clinched was in week 11. I don't think that will happen, but all three teams will be underdogs in every game they play. And yes I understand it's unlikely they will all lose, but it's just wild to me how much of a runaway this divison is. Does anyone remember another time in Bills history where the divison was wrapped up so soon? At this point we are just vying for playoff positioning. New England: Vs. NY Jets @ Tennessee @Chicago Miami Vs. Arizona @Buffalo @Los Angeles New York @New England Vs. Houston @Arizona I'm bumping this because I really think we are going to have a 6 game division lead heading Into the chiefs game: Bills - 8-2 Dolphins - 2-7 Jets - 2-8 Patriots - 2-8 Can anyone remember a more lopsided division in recent memory ? Sure the pats from the 00's and present day chiefs have dominated their divisons, but there's usually been at least another team hovering around .500. TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th Posted October 29 Posted October 29 (edited) I did a quick research back to the year 2000. Multiple teams had 6 game division leads at the end of the season, one team had a 7 game lead, and the biggest ever division lead (not surprisingly) was by the 2007 new England patriots who finished 16-0. The bills were second at 7-9. Edited October 29 by TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th Quote
The Red King Posted November 3 Posted November 3 (edited) Still holding a 4 1/2 game lead with tiebreakers (now with just eight games left). The win today was huge, it knocked the Dolphins another game down, gave us the tiebreaker against them and bumped our division record to 3-0, helping us with potential tiebreakers with the Jets and Pats (who are both currently 1-2 in the division). It was a nerve-wracking game, but it really helped give Buffalo a stranglehold on the division. Just can't let our foot of their throats. Edited November 3 by The Red King Quote
