More info in the tweet replies. For Browns sake I hope surgeon does a mistake a fixes wrong leg like that doctor in Florida making it impossible for him to be able to play and possibly walk again. Watson planted his right leg in the first half as he started to scramble and immediately crumpled to the turf in pain. Athletic trainers tended to Watson on the field as backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson warmed up. Watson eventually left the field on a cart. Watson covered his face with a towel in tears as he was carted off the field. The Browns eventually ruled Watson out with an Achilles injury. Of joy? 🧐 (I’ll police myself now. Too soon)

I went straight to the comments Whatever you think of Watson, that is a powerful statement by his teammate, and we are hearing some similar statements by his teammates. At least as a teammate, he seems to have garnered a lot of respect, as we know these kinds of comments are not too common.

ghostwriter Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM Mercy is when you withhold something from someone that they deserve and grace is when you give someone something that they didn’t deserve. As a Christian man and as a man of God and as a man who loves God, you reap what you sow. I hope Desean comes to repentance but God is a God of justice. Hopefully he reaches a point where God gives Mr. Watson both mercy and grace. God bless. 1 1

Yes, the football gods gave them some hope, not that Jamis Winston or Dorian Thompson-Robinson can be expected to do much better. At least they’ll have something different. Even though, worst case, it normally takes a year to recover from an Achilles injury, with the way Watson’s attitude has been, would he be expected to work hard on his rehab to get back as soon as he can. I wouldn’t be surprised if he missed all of next season.
