he will at least work out to keep the paychecks and the browns will pray for a chance to pick up a rookie who can hold down the job cheaply next year

Regardless, he's going to be on their roster for 25 and 26 because of those void years. They literally cannot afford to trade or cut him 

 

 

This is going to hurt the Browns badly from a cap standpoint, but there will be some cap relief due to the injury insurance policy that the Browns have on him.  More info in the tweet replies.

I would hate to see the Browns have any escape route, personally

That can't possibly be how it is can it? I mean who draws up a contract like that?
