Albany,n.y. Posted October 20 Posted October 20 https://sports.yahoo.com/deshaun-watson-leaves-browns-bengals-game-on-cart-in-tears-with-achilles-injury-182224331.html Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson left Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals with an Achilles injury. Watson planted his right leg in the first half as he started to scramble and immediately crumpled to the turf in pain. Athletic trainers tended to Watson on the field as backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson warmed up. Watson eventually left the field on a cart. Watson covered his face with a towel in tears as he was carted off the field. The Browns eventually ruled Watson out with an Achilles injury. 1 2 1 Quote

Big Turk Posted October 20 Posted October 20 (edited) "May"? In what world does someone injure their Achilles in that manner and come back during the season? Edited October 20 by Big Turk 1 1 1 Quote
aristocrat Posted October 20 Posted October 20 I doubt we ever see him on the field again 1 4 1 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted October 20 Posted October 20 (edited) Which means he might just be done, if he's out for the season can't see him getting the job back with the Browns and they're going to want to find a way to get clear of that contract as soon as they can. Question is does somewhere else take him.....I mean Adam Gase got hired as a head coach immediately after getting fired by the Dolphins so it's hard to just say no. But you'd think that no team wants the headache that comes with him for a guy that doesn't seem to have it anymore. Edited October 20 by Warcodered 2 Quote
transient Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Just now, Beast said: And Browns fans rejoice. ...as did the front office, adminstrative staff, and coaching staff. 2 1 1 Quote
Mikie2times Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Has to be a torn Achilles. Honestly, probably the best for all parties. Watson doesn't want to be playing and the Browns are better off benching him. Winston will start winning games for them. 2 1 Quote
CDogg20 Posted October 20 Posted October 20 While I hate seeing anyone get injured, this couldn’t have happened to a more outstanding individual. Hope he never plays again 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Dude shouldn’t have a career tbh after the debacle and scandal. 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted October 20 Posted October 20 99.9 percent of the time I'll never cheer for an injury, but for Deshaun Watson? I hope this injury costs him his career Quote
TheFunPolice Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Browns are seemingly stuck with him for 2025 and 2026 no matter what. If cut before 2025 season: 172 million dead cap 72 million dead cap in 2025 and 100 million in 2026 if post June 1 designation Something like 46 million per if on team in 25 and 26 due to restructure that added void years Regardless, he's going to be on their roster for 25 and 26 because of those void years. They literally cannot afford to trade or cut him 2 1 2 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted October 20 Posted October 20 (edited) Unless he retires the Browns are stuck with him. Old guys like Cousins and Rodgers just came back from serious Achilles injuries Edited October 20 by TheFunPolice Quote
