I don’t think they expected Rudolph to be accurate or competent enough to beat a basic zone. Kind of caught them off guard—or they ran the same game plan that they had in place for the original QB.

I heard Belichick recently talking about halftime adjustments and his first comment was, "ideally the adjustments would start well before halftime." McDermott's staff is not capable of that.

ooh a swing pass to a RB,  and it semi worked.  things are looking up.

Bro, semi work wheel swing or screen is a paradigm shift compared to what we are used to

Please start using Ray Davis more. The 2 best weapons we have might be the 2 RBs. Shouldn’t be this long before he gets involved

I love Cook, but the more I see of Davis I want him as our 1st and 2nd down back and have Cook be more of what Samuel was supposed to be.

See......that swing pass to Davis is basically just a run play.  I get them not wanting to play behind the sticks and wanting to make sure they get something on first down, but there are other ways of doing it other than duo up the middle.  It worked this last time, but most of the time it doesn't.  Just try to get a bit more creative.

They’ve run up the middle on 1st for 4-5+ yards pretty often in this one
