They need to make enough plays to win the game. Fan perception and post-mortem analysis is completely separate from what the team is dealing with. He looks like a guy that just doesn't believe what he sees. Easy to confuse and rattle. Will occasionally hit a big play. Rudolph isn't great by any means, but has the ability to deal the ball accurately and get it out on time. He will get the ball to his WRs and let them make plays (YAC/RAC).
