Amari Cooper is expected to play on Sunday

If it goes well and he wants to be here they’ll resign him.  People are concerned looking at the available cap now but there’s always a few restructures 

 

part of what made the deal so interesting is cooper was very likely a free agent beane was eyeing for next offseason anyway.  So we got a ‘try before you buy/first dibs on signing him next year’ situation without giving up much.  
 

If they want to take an all in-ish swing next year they could play around with coopers future years in his contract

If the Bills make a serious run this year and it’s clear he’s the missing piece, I think Cooper could give us a slight discount just because he’s right on the edge of a Hall of Fame Career.  He’s at 10,000 yards now. Being a core component of a championship team gets him the gold jacket.

and is why Diggs has been a non-factor in most playoff games 

 

To be fair to Diggs defenses in 2023 often double covered him hitting many times reminding me how our WRs were hit in Giants Superbowl  which wore him down.  He would take himself off the field making him a non-factor.  He could not shake the DBs as other primary WRs did.  This resulted in heaving passing blocking by WRs in 2nd half of season when Brady was OC with Gabe Davis often playing most of snaps every game.
