Gregg Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM In a perfect world the Bills would have a new stadium with a retractable roof. The weather for many of the games in Sept and Oct is nice. Even Nov isn't that bad if it doesn't rain. As it gets colder, and you get those games with rain, wind, and snow then that is the only time a dome is really needed. 1 1 Quote

Because you were never going to convince the majority of NYS to spend a billion more in taxes on a football stadium for a billionaire owner 1 Quote

We all know why the Bills aren't getting a dome or retractable roof. The costs are more than expected without one. 1 Quote

I posted before about this, but the cost of Building materials is about to go up considerably for Cleveland on top of the silly proposed $2.4 Billion price tag. But maybe they can 3D print a dome stadium 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted yesterday at 03:13 PM Posted yesterday at 03:13 PM Dome stadiums are the worst. I have no idea why everyone loves them so much. and the teams with domes never open the roofs like they say they will. 1 1 Quote
ALLinALLEN Posted yesterday at 03:14 PM Posted yesterday at 03:14 PM I could care less about the dome/no dome thing but I do not get why we didnt put it down town. Missed opp. Quote

You have no idea why most people don't want to sit in rain or freezing temps or a snow storm for over 3 hours? Quote

Missed opp. They would of had to buy lots of property in the proposed area, including many peoples homes. Then there was the traffic infrastructure that would need to be upgraded on top of that. Just to name the 2 things I know where of great cost concerns Edited yesterday at 03:17 PM by ddaryl Quote

They are terrible, bad turf, bad lighting they are a major waste of energy making heat and AC. I've sat through lots of games in snow, sleet and high wind in Buffalo, Cleveland, New York, Dallas...They were all better than the domes. Football was not meant to be attended in AC while sipping wine and having 50 dollar sushi. Edited yesterday at 03:30 PM by MikePJ76 1 Quote

Its in better shape that the Bengals and Bills stadiums 26 years old for a building is embarrassing. They couldnt figure out how to maintain that? meanwhile roads and bridges are falling down everywhere Quote

The option to have the stadium open during the nice weather games and closed for the bad weather games. Doesn't matter as the Bills aren't getting a dome or retractable roof. 1 Quote

The reality is the owners never allow them to open the roofs. Its always just a little too cold so they want the heat for their expensive seat holders or its too warm and they want the ac on. the only place that I can think of that actually opens the roof more than normal is seattle. The Tampa Bay Rays this year are going to play outside and away from the worst venue in pro sports. It's going to be a huge gain for them. People are going to love going to watch them play in Tampa this summer, even in the heat. 1 Quote

I prefer football being played outside, unless it means me sitting there being miserable. Then my couch is the more attractive option. There is a reason I try to go to the home opener (or another early season game). Nasty weather was part of the fun when I was a kid. I’m not a kid any more. 1 1 Quote

Mister Defense Posted yesterday at 04:39 PM Posted yesterday at 04:39 PM So sad, but why not take the next step and make another awful move if you are the Browns? The Dog Pound, in winter, sitting in a big cozy warm living room will no longer have much bark. Tailgating will diminish substantially, as it has been reported to do when other teams move their team inside a giant warm living room: who wants to get ready for the game out in the elements, when you can just pull up in your warm car, and then head into your warm, cozy stadium. Fits soo well with a team that now lacks an identity, direction, and focus on what has made the Cleveland Browns who they are. Are the same yahoos who thought giving Watson a king's ransom to play quarterback, two years removed from the game and his life rocked by his salacious behavior behind this move? (Yes, I am not a fan of domes! Went to some football games at the SU Carrier dome during college and felt like I was sitting in giant, warm living room. Horrible atmosphere. To me, so bad it was almost no longer football.) Quote
