They played the game at a later date. So that excuse is gone. So now, why not just play the game at Highmark at the same time the games were rescheduled in Detroit??! THE STADIUM WOULDN'T BE READY, that's why. No dome. UMMM Detroit is not Buffalo. You do realize how localized winter storm effects are, right? Niagara Falls had a couple of inches of snow while Orchard Park had several feet. Same day, same storm. 45 minutes away.

That sort of clause should be in all contracts so each player making more than 5% of cap should invest in seats which they can resell at will or allow family, friends and sponsors to sit in them. Dick_Cheney
Shameful if Cleveland is able to get a dome whereas we were not. I wonder how expensive it's gonna be in the future to retrofit our new stadium with some kind of roof. Would not be a bad idea to turn it into a flea market like what is done with the Aloha bowl stadium during days no game or game preparations. There has been talk of closing it for decades, but nothing ever happens. Cleveland would need to repurpose that land and build a land bridge over parts of the shore way to make development of the lakefront work. That’s always seemed like too heavy a lift for the city. Funny you mentioned this😄 Just erase the stadium out of their images. https://www.cleveland19.com/2024/10/16/almost-60-million-awarded-city-cleveland-support-north-coast-connector-development/ Edited Saturday at 10:07 AM by GaryPinC

Finally approved the day after the stadium move was announced. I have to think that this was something that got moving to save the stadium on the lake. Now we will see if the city can effectively use it to redevelop the area.

You can really see how getting rid of the stadium will open up a lot more development possibilities. They've already done a good job with the E 9th st pier area behind the Rock Hall.
