UMMM one major problem... how do fans get to the game in Detroit if the roads were closed and there were travel bans? They played the game at a later date. So that excuse is gone. So now, why not just play the game at Highmark at the same time the games were rescheduled in Detroit??!

THE STADIUM WOULDN'T BE READY, that's why. No dome.

UMMM Detroit is not Buffalo. You do realize how localized winter storm effects are, right?

Niagara Falls had a couple of inches of snow while Orchard Park had several feet. Same day, same storm. 45 minutes away.

Drew Carey Ohio GIF

Complete side note but one of my favorite things in a sad way about the Browns is when they returned in 99' they had Drew Carey do a pump speech pregame. Place went wild, he told all the haters to shut up etc their back in the NFL deal with it .... they got shut out at home against the Steelers 43-0 lol

Hard hard reality check real quick out of the gate lol

Maybe they need to make a amendment in the contract that their QB that he has to invest in the stadium so they can get some kind of return on their money .

That sort of clause should be in all contracts so each player making more than 5% of cap should invest in seats which they can resell at will or allow family, friends and sponsors to sit in them.

Shameful if Cleveland is able to get a dome whereas we were not.

I wonder how expensive it's gonna be in the future to retrofit our new stadium with some kind of roof.

Shameful?
Impossible to add a roof

Burke seems to be a favorite of the rich folks and corporations with private planes. There has been talk of closing it for decades, but nothing ever happens. Cleveland would need to repurpose that land and build a land bridge over parts of the shore way to make development of the lakefront work. That’s always seemed like too heavy a lift for the city.

Funny you mentioned this😄  Just erase the stadium out of their images.

That’s hilarious. Finally approved the day after the stadium move was announced. I have to think that this was something that got moving to save the stadium on the lake. Now we will see if the city can effectively use it to redevelop the area.

You can really see how getting rid of the stadium will open up a lot more development possibilities.  They've already done a good job with the E 9th st pier area behind the Rock Hall.

Funny. Those who loudly complain, never consider what has been happening in the five boroughs, for decades:

One of the worst guys in the media has been Chris Churchill in his column in the Albany Times Union.  The funny part is, they run his column in the Buffalo News sometimes, but I don't think they ran the ones where he whined about the Bills new stadium.

But it was OK back in the day when Syracuse, a private university, was given a NY state grant of more than half the cost to build the Carrier Dome.

They also didn't cry when the Yankees & Mets got new stadiums in 2009.

The Tampa Bay Rays just listed a dome roof looking for a "loving touch" on Craigslist

The interesting part was that the roof had a service life significantly lower than it's age & should have been replaced by now.

The whining about the Bills in Albany, is pathetic, as it is annoying.
