Talks Cooper Trade

Keeps Josh informed, at times

Taron Johnson would have gotten to the Red Line, Aaron

Ray Davis is humble, comes to work every day.

I don't watch McAfee all that much but i like his interviews with Beane on the show.  He makes it more of a loose atmosphere so you get some good answers.

Interesting that he said definitively that Cooper will play Sunday when McD is still trying to play coy about whether or not he gets in the game.

This is always the difference in their interview styles

you never really learn much from a Beane interview.  as it should be.   he seems like a good guy though.

I learned he is still open to making more trades before the deadline. That was good to hear.  I feel like he’s as transparent as he can be under the circumstances.

He also does a good job answering 12-part questions. Those guys don’t know how to ask a simple question without rambling on and on and asking about three different subjects in the process.

I think his degree is in media or PR or something along those lines which helps him in interviews

Beane lies almsot all the time. The only thing he says you can belive is that he is truthfully always looking to upgrade the roster.

The only other time Beane has told the truth is when he said he made the team worse by trading Diggs.

I like Decisive Beane, McDermott needs to learn how to be decisive like Beane. He seems to be one of the most indecisive coaches in the NFL.

Quote

"During my sophomore year, I came to this revelation that I wanted to go into pro sports," Beane says. "So, I changed majors and just went with a broad field of communication studies to not limit myself what I could do in sports, whether it was marketing, management, public relations, and was just going to start networking in that field, which is what I then started."

McDermott isn't going to tell anyone what they're going to do, even if there's a giant Billboard with flashing lights saying of course they're going to do this. Beane will absolutely deceive people on what the plan is but when something is really obvious he's far less likely to play coy unless he's being sarcastic or making a joke.

McDermott blows.

he isn’t bringing this team any further than it’s gotten to this point.

seems like a gentleman, good coach, etc….

BUT - he has reached his potential with this team, and this team has reached it’s potential with him.

Sucks that Beane and Josh have to win in spite of their head coach. I think we can still do it but it shouldn’t have to be an anchor around our teams neck to get there each year
