He was a monster all day against us, and the Dolphins won't have to face him this year. pretty sure the Bills have been tied to having interest in him the last two offseason but he does not want to play in Buffalo. He is a very effective player for his contract though. Quote

Their media thinks they can go 7-1 and make the playoffs at 10-7 Well, they're 2-6, which means they have to go 8-1 the rest of the way. They will beat LV, CLE and NE. They play NYJ x2, SF and HOU. They also have the LAR and GB mixed in there too. They're splitting with the NYJ and losing to at least 1 of SF or HOU. Who knows what happens with LAR and GB, but those aren't easy outs. They'll finish 7-10 or 8-9. Quote

I was responding to a comment asking who the cowboys have to trade. further, phillips had some good moments here and if he was playing at his old level he is an upgrade over ankou until carter is ready to return. Warriorspikes51 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) FWIW, Sean was apparently talking with Calais for a bit after the game. He played really well IMO. He is also very close / mentor to Rousseau It might be a big ask, but acquiring Calais and Sebastian Joseph-Day should do wonders for the defense Edited November 4 by Warriorspikes51 1 Quote

He has not had great moments in years at this point, expecting that to change is wishful thinking. Not saying they don't need help but I don't think Phillips is the droid we are looking for. 3 Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Seen a couple of articles in the media saying the Bills should trade for a backup O-line as have no depth if a starter were to get hurt. While I agree with that, it's also true that O-line players never come off the field other than for injury and at the end of a blowout game. So trading for a guy like this would be strictly for insurance only and may not even have the player active on game day. Wondering are there enough decent experienced players either on other teams practice squads or a free agent that in case of an injury could sign him for the following week. While it wouldn't help the team out during the game the player got injured in, going forward would it be just a good as trying to make a trade?? The team isn't trading for an all pro to be a backup to begin with so would it help much? Quote
BarleyNY Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I’d expect that the Browns are open for business on everyone except a select few players. This last loss effectively ended any outside hope of a playoff run. Reminder that the deadline is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5th at 4 PM. Quote

During one of the timeouts he took his helmet off and came over to the Bills offensive huddle and was talking to the OL. It was an odd sight. The rest of the Dolphins D were all like 10 yards away. 1 Quote
ndirish1978 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I love that we have clamped down on leaks but man it would be nice to know if we're at least working on someone at the moment. We are hurting for help on the DL badly and I don't see us making a run without at least 1 name added there. Quote
Tulsabillsfanz Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Campbell played well yesterday. He tackled Josh 10+ yards downfield. I can’t believe Campbell is 38! 2 1 Quote
NewEra Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) Was hoping we’d sign Campbell this offseason but I get why he went to Miami. He’d be an insane addition - not sure Miami would deal him to us. I’m sure many teams would love to have him at this point. I’d be happy with DE, DT and or LB. I don’t think a S would come in, learn the system and start any time soon. I think Bishop might have a better chance (albeit a very small chance) of unseating Hamlin than a S not already in this system. Edited November 4 by NewEra Quote
gonzo1105 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I think Slayton would be a decent add with the Cooper and Coleman uncertainty but I think with the bye week coming they will hold off unless there is a long term issue there. Quote
LLCoolCy Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Gang the Dolphins are "buyers" per Rosenhause. Grier likely sees his time as GM is nearing an end if no playoffs... might as well sell the future to have a chance to save his job this year. 4 Quote
NewEra Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Could be a great trade for Az. Before he got hurt last season he was really impressive as a pass rusher. Haven’t seen him play since the injury. Glad he went to the NFC 2 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) Well, call Denver on DJ Jones then 5 hours ago, MikePJ76 said: Slayton is now in concussion protocol, so he is very unlikely to be traded (not sure he even can be) Edited November 4 by Warriorspikes51 Quote
ngbills Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Recent names out there... Dreaming DE/LB - Garrett, Crosby DB - Baker, J Jones Could be nice DE/LB - Ojulari, Z Smith, Clowney, C Young, Key WR - Slayton Quote

As in, are we sure Fins arent shopping Tyreek or someone, and hes leveraging himself for another bite at the apple on next team extending him by acting like this? I dont believe this report (not saying its Tyreek spec), and I dont believe Rosenhaus to say anything that doesnt frame himsself into the best chance at getting paid Quote
JP51 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Not sure the Dolphins trade him to us for fair market. Quote
