Works for me. If he has a good workout, sign him for a minimum deal and give Bass his walking papers.

It's not like we don't have experience cutting kickers who went on to have long careers.  We originally had Gary Anderson and Dustin Hopkins.  Would be nice if we were on the receiving end of that for once.

Seems like more of a firestarter for Bass O' Un-matic- ?

Harrison Mevis FG percent career: 83.5%

                                               2023:   80%

Tyler Bass FG percent career:          84.1%

                                          2024:         75%

Looks a little like Tasker too.....

I like the idea of a lesser known guy, because the known available kickers all seem to have make percentages equal to or worse than Bass.

So happy that they are looking to make a move.  But its gotta be done carefully or else we just spin our wheels and get cap hit.  The how do you onboard this person is interesting to me.  I wonder if we would consider putting him on PS then do call ups as a real life tryout.  Could even let bass come back after a few games to give him a final shot (having Bass work out is still the most favorable option that you need to give it every opportunity).

Chase McLaughlin was also a Bill briefly. As was Matt Gay who had a long career after we only used him to kick off.

Can you imagine this guy making an onside kick?  He'd eat the opposing receivers trying to recover the ball for breakfast.

I love it if he's at least somewhat competent.

5'11", 243 LBS!!!! they didn't even need to fly him in, he was at a pizza joint down the street.

Except McDermott will probably try to convert him to an edge rusher. 🤨

The bills have placed K Tyler bass on short term IR for mental injury

would make sense.  Dude has the leg, but needs a sports psychologists.  Looks nervous before a kick, and the FG he made Monday he looked relieved.  Just needs help with the mental aspect of a very mental position.

It was actually Jordan Gay who was our kickoff specialist.

Did anyone give Marrone as much grief about carrying a kickoff specialist as people give McDermott about rostering Taiwan Jones?

Realistically, Id love to IL Bass for a month.  Let him get his head right if possible.  Rather than waive him outright

He had 5 months to get his head right.   They can't cut him until later in the season but they need to put someone on the practice squad asap.

Does anyone know what the original tweet meant by "rising" kicker?

Has he been getting interest elsewhere or what not?
