H2o
https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/can-cam-rising-return-to-utah-in-2025-how-utes-star-qb-could-come-back-with-eighth-year-of-eligibility/ Quote Utah quarterback Cameron Rising is out "indefinitely," coach Kyle Whittingham announced Monday, and the Utes will turn to freshman Isaac Wilson in the interim. While the news is brutal for Rising's immediate future, it does open the door for the veteran to return for an eighth year of college football -- if he wants to, of course. This is crazy. He's gonna be 26 years old playing College football (possibly). Can't blame him if he does, but at some point you think being the "old guy" on campus has to become a bit awkward.

He's making over a quarter million a year in NIL money. Some estimates are half a million. I'm sure he will be ok.
Sweats
If i was in his position and probably never be drafted (or drafted very high) then sure, take that NIL all day long for as long as you can. 1

I’m sure he won’t let the awkwardness get to him when he has 18, 19, 20 year old co-ed’s throwing themselves at him. paulmm3
I assume Cam Rising takes an 8th year at Utah if he can. Figuring he wants to make money. He's probably a borderline 7th rounder if he enters the draft this year. He only played 3 games and didn't look great. If he stays at Utah he gets another year of NIL money and a chance to continue his NFL audition.
peterpan
NCAA has to do something about this. You used to only get 5 years to play 4 and 1 injury year. I’m seeing a lot of 7 year players. Just ridiculous and not at all fair to the younger kids coming in
