Cheektavegas Charlie
I kept hearing over the last few weeks that the Raiders asking price for Adams (a second round pick) was too high. As it turns out the Jets will probably get him for only a 3rd. Here’s the last 15 years of Bills 2nd round picks. Many are busts, a few have been good, none have been stars. We are in desperate need of better receivers and potentially going to waste another chance at a Super Bowl this season by not upgrading the position. 2024: Cole Bishop 2023: O’Cyrus Torrence 2022: James Cook 2021: Boogie Basham 2020: AJ Epenesa 2019: Cody Ford 2018: None 2017: Zay Jones 2016: Reggie Ragland 2015: Ronald Darby 2014: Cyrus Kouandijo 2013: Robert Woods 2012: Cordy Glenn 2011: Aaron Williams 2010: Torell Troup
Big Turk
Adams was only interested in going to the Jets. They are also getting a 32 year old oft and increasingly frequently injured player. It's a desperation move for a team that is far more than Davante Adams away from being a true contender. I'm far more open to Amari Cooper than I would be to Adams. thenorthremembers
It wasnt the pick it was the money. Because the Raiders wouldnt eat any of the contract the Jets will have to pay Adams over 10 million dollars for the remainder of the year. The Bills only have $4 million in cap. They literally couldnt make that trade.
Mango
The Bills could pick Mike Williams 36 years straight. It doesn’t really matter. It wasn’t getting done without a new contract. Edited October 15 by Mango 1
Bermuda Triangle
If the Raiders were not willing to absorb any of Adams' salary, he wasn't a realistic option for the Bills. 1 1
Captain Hindsight
It wasnt about the pick, it was about the money. 64 million in dead cap limits your options, unfortunately 1

The Bills didn't have the cap space to do that. That's why he's a Jet, not the cost in draft picks. 1 1
