I would imagine they understand that this is not the final season of the nfl and they would like to have a decent team for the next GM and Head Coach next year.  Now they are out a third round pick for the rebuild.

So are there any Jets ramifications for the cap after this season?  Or is it purely pay him this year and he is gone and a UFA?

Adams is under contract for 2 more years with cap hits of 36 million per season. At his age and salary glad Bills couldn't make move.

Honestly, I don't think it's a bad move for the Jets.

Adam Schein pointed out they have lost the 3 games by a combined 10 points. Would Adams be worth an additional 3 points or more last night? Probably in my mind.

The Only question I have is it too late at this point with the hole they are in...

Yea I think your last point is the big one.  Also it’s not always all profit,  trading for Adams could take targets from Wilson and stuff like that

it was also super flukey they were within 3 points in this one to begin with imo.  I don’t think they’re 3 points away from the bills if that makes sense lol

I like it.  Because I said a few weeks ago that I had a premonition that the Jets will beat KC in the playoffs.  It would be great for us, to have the Jets beat and eliminate KC and i think they are the type of team that would.

He’s under contract until 2027 if they want.

The cap hits are insane though. $30m+ the next 2 years.

It was a bad throw, and Rodgers used Williams as a scapegoat.  He put enough loft on the ball to float it to the sideline and Williams could run under it.  He short threw it 15 yards, forcing Williams to stop on a dime and led to the slip

Meanwhile Taron Johnson made one of the best picks I've ever seen. Him and Rapp were great last night.

It was truly an amazing play.

The best part was Buck and Aikman have no idea who he is, one of the best corners in the league and Buck didn't even know how to pronounce his name when it happened.  then in the postgame scott van pelt didn't know how to pronounce his name either.  One of the finest corners in the league who just returned after being out for a month.

if one of the jets corners made that exact play it would have been the story of the night.  Buck only cares about qb's and wr's.

Im the tragic opposite. I know the record is awful in the playoffs against them but I want us to eliminate them. Divisionals or AFCC. if we beat them I squarely feel everyone in that building will believe they can win a Lombardi.

Then why fire the HC week 5?

Woody Johnson has no idea what he's doing.

Agreed. Firing coach and trading for a top WR aren’t congruent. Either way, I see no path forward for Rodgers after this season. They’ll probably have to shed salary for Adams.

Pretty sure Aikman called Taron one of the best in the league, last year and again last night.

Gonna be interesting to see, guy coming in mid season how fast they can incorporate him into offense.... plus o-line is going to get Rogers killed.

The best part will be how fast his hamstring is healthy!

Mr. Miyagi couldn't fix it as fast as this trade did.

Not even the Jets would live with that contract after this year. Maybe they get to negotiate a new deal if Rodgers is still in the saddle next year. If Rodgers is out of the picture so is Davante imo.
