Sweats Posted December 10 Posted December 10 The false start is blatantly obvious, but I'll give this one a pass, as we got a "phantom" horse collar penalty on JA, so it all equals out in the end.......i don't hear anyone complaining when the penalties actually go our way. You can't have it both ways, fellas. 1 Quote

For some reason, the league treats it like delay of game in that they give the Tackles a split second of leeway. It doesn’t make sense to me, but you can’t ask the refs to only enforce it on one team but not the other. This wasn’t a rock back or lean.. it was a flinch. They call flinches. Quote
Bongo Posted December 10 Posted December 10 (edited) This was bad but I thought the worse one was Cooper Kupp’s bad penalty overlooked on Puka’s last td. It was blatant, right at the point of attack and definitely contributed to success of the play. There is no way they didn’t see it. Edited December 10 by Bongo 1 Quote
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted December 10 Posted December 10 You should be able to challenge this. If a guy is moving before the snap it should be a false start. Should be an easy and quick challenge to call as well. Quote

I’m not a rules expert but it could probably be offensive pass interference because it started while the ball was in the air but is holding as well given that he had his arms wrapped around him with fists full of jersey as Puka went by. At the very least, I think it would be the pick play of the century. 1 Quote

At first I thought it was just a Super-pick, but on the replay it like it was also a hold. Technically, is this a penalty or not/ Quote

It was a classic false start. Quote

We lost because our Defense was TRASH and our Head Coach turned into a Muppet again… nobody thinks we lost for other reasons. “This play changed everything “ It didn’t. It was more NFL being a rigged league but it didn’t “ change everything” Quote
blacklabel Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Typically I go into every game with zero expectations for the referees. Rams game was the first time all season I was like, "WTF are these nitwits doing??" It was pretty bad. That false start they missed on the Rams RT still annoys me lol. Quote
JohnBonhamRocks Posted December 10 Posted December 10 The refs were bad but they did not block the punt, get gashed all day on defense, miss Hollins on a long TD, or call the QB sneak. 1 Quote

Its close enough to not make the call. Quote

Like I said, I’m not a rules expert. Maybe you’re right. But I don’t think a receiver can grab a db while a pass is being made. And I definitely don’t think you can grab fist fulls of jersey to block for somebody running. And if pick plays are called where the db’s progress is impeded with a hip check or shoulder bump, what is it when the db is grabbed and shoved/turned from the receiver? Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted December 10 Posted December 10 21 hours ago, MikePJ76 said: It bugged me that they missed two obvious false starts that were big plays. If they call this and its second and 15 does it change the game? I don't know. The Bills were about to get all the momentum back with a stop and the ball. The False Start on the right tackle is as obvious as it gets, three bills players point it out and no flag. Makes me mental. here is a quick gif of the false start. How did Brady and the fox broadcast miss this? Certainly can't play fast when you're pointing and think the play is going to be blown dead. I think refs turned a blind eye a lot in this game. Both ways I'm sure. Seemed every third down conversion for LA, you could count on a flag tho. They were on top of that for sure. Quote

Somebody I was watching the game at one point laughed and said "I guess we are getting Chiefs treatment tonight". I did really like that the DB's challenged the refs to call DPI/holding. We got away with a ton of it. 1 Quote
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I feel like there's at least 2 examples of miller being mugged and held on long completions. Quote

My college age son doesn't care much for sports - other than Esports - but he used to watch football and was in the room when they called the offsetting OPI/DPI penalties. He just laughed and shook his head, then indicated that stuff like that is one reason he doesn't watch games anymore. Overall it is a joke. 1 Quote
