SCBills Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Refs will miss things, but that’s inexcusable. Everyone saw it. The announcers saw it. Von pointed it out (which then rendered him useless on the play). And most importantly, the ref obviously saw it. 2 Quote
transient Posted December 10 Posted December 10 IDK, the offsetting interference calls on that long Rams completion was pretty bad, as well, the Rams just overcame it. 3 Quote

Those are the types of plays you just have to accept will happen with NFL officiating. They inexplicably picked up a DPI on Cooper, which clearly was the difference between him catching it or not as it grazed off his finger tips. They can’t miss egregious false starts in big moments. Nothing is happening. That is one of the few things they are looking for pre-snap. Edited December 10 by SCBills 2 Quote
Bill51390 Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Yeah it was pretty obvious. Also couldn’t stand that Miller just stood up, pointed and didn’t even try because he assumed they would call a penalty. He needs to be better than that. Quote

NewEra Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Lots of plays changed everything Josh throwing a poor pass for a wide open TD to Hollins. Reid Ferguson getting steamrolled on the next play a handful of penalties. a McDermott coachjng debacle The refs didn’t lose it for us, but they could’ve helped us win it. And we could’ve also helped ourselves win it by making a couple more plays. The rams made more plays- they won 1 1 Quote

Billl Posted December 10 Posted December 10 How many times was Dawkins called for doing that? 1 Quote

These officials need to be held accountable, like ppl said, just inexcusable and a massive play Quote

But we go back to being the only team to beat KC so far… You have to beat them, because if you leave it up to fate, it seems to go their way. This is the NFL. Nobody is perfect and a lot of games come down to one possession. When that’s the case, refs have outsized influence and it’s bad enough that so many games are determined by in-play egregious calls made or missed.. you can’t have them missing pre-snap penalties on a 4th and 5 with the game on the line. 3 minutes ago, Billl said: How many times was Dawkins called for doing that? Buffalo Boy Posted December 10 Posted December 10 If you’re whining about a single bad call by the refs being the pivotal reason for this loss…..🤷♂️ Quote
SCBills Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Just now, Buffalo Boy said: If you’re whining about a single bad call by the refs being the pivotal reason for this loss…..🤷♂️ It was an inexcusable miss in a big moment. We are allowed to discuss that. We lost because our Defense was TRASH and our Head Coach turned into a Muppet again… nobody thinks we lost for other reasons. 1 Quote

US Egg Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Tackles been rocking/stepping back a split second before the snap without being flagged. This one was more flagrant. Quote

I could waste a lot of time asking broad questions to others to deflect the truth. OP provided video of the specific play where a false start should have been called (this isn't the OT jumping back early, this is him legit rocking back, then forward, then launching back early). Since you asked the question, feel free to provide the examples of Dion doing the same thing (rock back, rock forward, launch back prior to snap). 1 Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted December 10 Posted December 10 (edited) What caused us the game was the Bills defense was completely torched for 60 minutes. Not a single false start call Edited December 10 by JakeFrommStateFarm 1 Quote

I think it was Josh's rocket to Shakir at the 1, but would need to check. Quote

I KNOW a Chiefs fan isn’t in here talking about false starts…. It’s a bad missed call. Happens all the time. we can’t have our QB underthrowing wide open WRs in the end zone. we can’t have our long snapper get destroyed and give up a blocked punt TD. we can’t give up 44 points. lots of plays changed everything- none more so than a missed throw - 14 point swing on one play. 1 1 Quote
Billl Posted December 10 Posted December 10 13 minutes ago, Logic said: Fans of teams who employ Jawaan Taylor should sit this one out. He (Jawaan Taylor) absolutely does it as well. For some reason, the league treats it like delay of game in that they give the Tackles a split second of leeway. It doesn’t make sense to me, but you can’t ask the refs to only enforce it on one team but not the other. Quote
