"The arm was coming forward even if the ball was going backwards" was the explanation from ESPN's "rules analyst". Can I just say as bad as the refs were - Buck and Aikman were worse. Thank God they are cast into the MNF backwater nowadays. Awful announcers. They briefly sad if the ball is in a vertical position when it was lost it becomes a tuck, is this true? Never heard that before… Quote

He clowned the clown refs 1 Quote
peterpan Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Anyone watching Texas v Georgia? Georgia just threw a pick returned to the 9. Late defensive PI flag comes in giving Georgia the ball at the 40 or so. Questionable call. So it’s a huge penalty. Refs announce the penalty on the PA system and everything. anyways the Texas crowd goes nuts. The student section starts chanting something and throwing crap in the field. It delays the game 5 minutes. Then the refs huddle up and say there’s no DPI after all. Hahaha! Really bad look. Never seen anything like it 1 Quote
Einstein Posted November 18 Author Posted November 18 So… Was New York asleep during that final Chiefs catch!?!? How was that not reviewed? It clearly hit the ground. 4 8 7 Quote
f0neguy Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Everything is reviewed in the last two minutes. They review it, doesn’t mean they get it right. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 I think the game was fairly officiated and more importantly was well officiated. Props to Land Clark and his crew 5 1 Quote

Saint Doug Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Is there a link to this non-catch? Couldn’t watch the game today and you know this won’t be allowed on the highlights. Quote
dickleyjones Posted November 18 Posted November 18 it probably hit the ground but i don't remember seeing anything definitive. they don't overturn on "we think so". Quote

It looked definitive to me. It would have been reversed if it had been reviewed. The announcers and the rules analyst agreed. 10 minutes ago, gonzo1105 said: I think the game was fairly officiated and more importantly was well officiated. Props to Land Clark and his crew I feel like it was probably mostly lightly officiated unless something was too egregious, which kind of makes sense Bills-Chiefs is too good TV to let the refs cut it to pieces. But there were a lot of things that I noticed KC got away with, maybe we did too and I just wasn't looking for that. 1 1 Quote

buffalo2218 Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) Was in disbelief when they didn't do a replay review, was in even more disbelief when the Chiefs got flagged for holding a play or 2 later Edited November 18 by buffalo2218 4 Quote
wjag Posted November 18 Posted November 18 All the whining pregame and it didn't materialize in the game. That holding call on the Mahommes run was huge. 1 1 Quote

Should have been 4th and 13 with the incomplete pass. They called it a catch, but then yes, they called the obvious hold. Quote

We don’t need a hundred flags and constant huddling by the refs. refs let both teams hold quite a bit, but only called the most egregious. I also liked not reviewing the chiefs catch near the end. We don’t need a 15-minute review over the intricacies of the dumb catch rules. They kept the game moving. 1 Quote
