Rubes Posted October 14 Posted October 14 McDermott will finally get us to a Super Bowl, it will be in London, and he'll have the team arrive two days before so the team can lay another egg. 2 1 Quote

Let their kids bash their heads into each instead of just relying on American kids to do if. Not to mention that some US city will not get the big tourism tax revenue bump. I think they should play the SB in the city of the conference champ with the best record, but that's yet me. He also said he wants a 18 game schedule. So take out a game none of the regulars play in and add a game to the end of the season when guys are tired and banged up. DON'T EVER TALK TO ME ABOUT "PLAYER SAFETY" if you do that. Really I don't want to hear it now since they added the 17th game. His end goal is to land the SB on presidents day weekend. 1 Quote

Control supply, guard it fastidiously, “see” tomorrow and innovate, reconcile radio, television, stadium, cable, streaming. Pit delivery mechanisms against one another and have them bid. Police the product. Technology - anticipate it. Europe isn’t coming it’s here. Goodell’s comments are like the slow boiling of a frog in a pot of water. One degree at a time, and the frog never leaves. As the philosopher Ty Webb once said to Danny: “See, your future … be, BE, your future.” Paying for viewing, high end living room technology, locations in Europe and South America. Stadiums are dinosaurs. Why, in God’s name, would you spend $2 billion for 8 days a year? True. As Steve Young said a few years ago, "when you have a product with an inelastic demand, you can do whatever you want." If it weren't for football, I'd hate the NFL. May Day 10 Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Not sure I'm a fan of a mid-day super bowl... but as a ototo thing it would be kind of cool. Quote

clayboy54 Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Seriously, it’ll soon be pay per view, wherever it’s played. Quote
Saxum Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Goodell will likely try to implement two Superbowls in same season one on pay per view. Quote

bigduke6 Posted October 14 Posted October 14 this has always been the NFLs dream. a worldwide football league with a championship akin to the World Cup. FIFA makes ridiculous money off soccer worldwide and the NFL wants a part of it. problem is, US football is an expensive sport to play, at all levels. soccer all you need is 1 ball and a bit of open ground. not sure American football ever really catches on in the rest of the world the way it has in Murica, just too late to the party. Bad Things Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I sure love the game, but I am really disliking The Shield more and more. Fark Roger Goodell and all those Billionaire a$$….$, as they show no respect for the everyday fan. 3 1 Quote
Buffalo ill Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Would it at least be played at a time of day North America would normally watch? 12 minutes ago, bigduke6 said: this has always been the NFLs dream. a worldwide football league with a championship akin to the World Cup. Well their goal is to eventually make it flag football, so that would lower the cost. 1 Quote
