Big Turk Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Translation: "Within the next decade there will be a Super Bowl being played internationally." Goodell never just offers random comments...he is very calculated as to what he says and when he says something like that it isn't just an off the cuff remark, it's giving everyone a heads up into what the NFL is working towards. https://sports.yahoo.com/roger-goodell-says-he-wouldnt-be-surprised-if-a-super-bowl-is-played-internationally-130800461.html#:~:text=The NFL has moved numerous, that conversation is shifting though. 5 1 2 Quote
MJS Posted October 14 Posted October 14 As long as I can still watch it on TV. It's not like I'm ever going to a Superbowl. 2 1 Quote
Einstein Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Yeah, doesn’t matter to me. My barcalounger will still be in the same place, 140 degrees relative to the television. 2 Quote

You’ll save yourself a trip to Qatar during their summer, because for the right price……. 🤷♂️ Just now, Einstein said: Yeah, doesn’t matter to me. Aussie Joe Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I will be annoyed if the kickoff time changes ..which would be likely playing it in Europe Quote
nedboy7 Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I hope the half time show is 3.5 hours. That would be so cool. Quote
reddogblitz Posted October 14 Posted October 14 (edited) If Europeans love football so much have them start their own league. Let their kids bash their heads into each instead of just relying on American kids to do if. Not to mention that some US city will not get the big tourism tax revenue bump. I think they should play the SB in the city of the conference champ with the best record, but that's yet me. He also said he wants a 18 game schedule. So take out a game none of the regulars play in and add a game to the end of the season when guys are tired and banged up. DON'T EVER TALK TO ME ABOUT "PLAYER SAFETY" if you do that. Really I don't want to hear it now since they added the 17th game. Edited October 14 by reddogblitz 3 Quote
mannc Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I have no doubt that the 2037 Flag Football Super Bowl will be played somewhere in Europe or Canada. 1 Quote

frostbitmic Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I'd be surprised if there isn't already a plan for a Super Bowl in London and I'd be fine with that after every NFL city gets to host a Super Bowl first. Quote

Neo Posted October 14 Posted October 14 The NFL developed and implements one of the best business models I’m aware of. Create mass exposure and demand. Control supply, guard it fastidiously, “see” tomorrow and innovate, reconcile radio, television, stadium, cable, streaming. Pit delivery mechanisms against one another and have them bid. Police the product. Technology - anticipate it. Europe isn’t coming it’s here. Goodell’s comments are like the slow boiling of a frog in a pot of water. One degree at a time, and the frog never leaves. As the philosopher Ty Webb once said to Danny: “See, your future … be, BE, your future.” Paying for viewing, high end living room technology, locations in Europe and South America. Stadiums are dinosaurs. Why, in God’s name, would you spend $2 billion for 8 days a year? Quote
