I just re-watched Bills Jets MNF game from 1992.  Kenneth Davis was so good. Had me thinking who was the best back-up RB in Bills franchise history?

A few caveats.

I did not include Cookie as he was listed as a FB.

I did not include Fred Jackson as though he was a backup for a few years he became the primary RB later.

If I am missing someone from the 60's or 70's please let me know.

I chose Robb Riddick.  Davis had more carries yards and TDs but for me Riddick could do everything.  He was an excellent pass blocker, good out of the backfield and had a knack for the end-zone.  I think he really helped Kelly and that offense in the early years.

Fred Jackson was once the backup running back. Just saying…

The OP addressed that. But also, I don't remember Fred Jackson doing a whole lot until he was starting. But maybe I just don't remember.

I also liked Darick Holmes a lot.

Remember the playoff game where we rushed for 341 yards(!) against Miami?

I believe Thurman and Darick both went over 100 yards.

Agreed. Darick Holmes should be on this list.
