I'm more worried about losing Cook's receiving ability than his running. That's very good, obviously, but with him and Shakir out, Samuels injured or otherwise useless, he's throwing to a raw rookie and two street free agents. Ty Johnson might off something out of the backfield, but it looks grim overall. I had been optimistic about Kincaid, but he looks like a JAG this year, and Knox... well, you know about Knox.

I'm still shaking my head at an NFL team starting Mac Hollins.

still don’t understand why we don’t elevate KJ Hamler. If Allen is so dead set on attempting these deep balls, doesn’t KJ give you a better chance than Hollins?

Do you not have answers? Are you just emotionally flailing around? Was this just a random thought that entered your thread? Will you try to deflect some more instead of having any sort of basis for opinion?

Wow, I did hit a nerve. Relax @Malazan, I was simply expressing my opinion about the "possibility" that maybe, just maybe our conditioning staff is doing something wrong. Or maybe there not. I didn't think you'd take it personally. Maybe conditioning staffs are perfect and infallible?  As far as your millennial request for a bunch of analytical statistics....go fish.  Maybe all these injuries are just plain old fashion bad luck. Maybe this is all a big epic fantasy....

Just hope we beat the jets.  Watched rodgers on macafee a little while ago.  I feel bad saying this but he is just smug personified and of course wanted to deflect by bringing up salehs HUMANITY AND HOW IT AFFECTS HIS CHILDREN AND HOW HE LOVED PASSING A FOOTBALL WITH HIS 7 year old son , and how rodgers hoped no bullies would say anything bad to the kids.  lol, defection and a puke fest.

They have brick as the HC  now , or maybe “ I should call him coach “ , but changes had to be made and it’s a tough business.  “ we all know that going in” .   The talent is there , just have to make some minor changes.  Of course when “ WOODY “ called him on Monday it was just to discuss his ankle injury and game , but yet nothing was ever said about a change.
Then a few minutes later  he contradicted himself saying he went in early for therapy but he knew the schedule was going to change and they wouldn’t be having the usual qb meeting that day !?  What ?  I though you said you knew nothing ahead of time but somehow you knew meetings were going to change times that day ?

It’s just this smugness that he can’t hide , always raising some issue that he thinks elevates him above others. He was wearing wired earphones to protect his brain ( crazy profession you chose to protect your brain , but I guess blue tooth earphones are more dangerous than head hunting lineman, but you do you Aaron!) and claimed wired earphones are coming back in a small group of players in the clubhouse who want to protect their cognitive ability.  Ok , so what has that got to do with the  coach you “ love “ so much , a great coach , who just got escorted out the door ?  Yeah , nothing but Aaron wants us all to believe  they are all victims of a harsh business!   So tragic , but he had no role in it , except he did say he could have played better.

So main thing is season is not over and winning next game means first place   So they will be motivated and this HC was a player for 10 years and he gets the  locker room culture, real players type coach.  So much for all the love for the prior HC.    IT FIGURES this happens just as they are spiraling but now get a lift to face the Bills.   Just hope we don’t blow this chance to get the season back on track , and it would  feel even worse losing to them and letting the heat dissipate from this just , imo, unlikeable narcissist.   Man, please get it together Brady , Mcd , and drive a stake thru this vampire !   Go BILLS!

What does training have to do with a turf toe injury?

Because he can’t block.  40% of why Hollins is here is his blocking ability imo. 40% ST, 20% WR ability.  Sounds wonky, but I truly believe that’s why he plays so much.  Get the ball to other playmakers and let him take people out downfield. He’s really good in that respect.

James Cook, as explosive as he can be, has been terrible in pass pro his entire tenure with Buffalo. So much so that the Bills have many times taken him off the field in clear passing down situations.

I’ve got no idea about Davis, but Ty is one of the guys they’ve trusted to step in when they need someone who can pick up an extra rusher.

Yea well. You know what. Then you don’t design plays where he’s to be critical to pass pro. You kno what Andy Reid would do? Have cook chip and then go out for passes. You know. Bc he’s an explosive weapon

Make players play in their strengths. And limit their weaknesses. Our coaches stink

WTF...

I like the other 2 backs we have but none are capable of doing what Cook can.

People sleeping on Ty Johnson especially his receiving capabilities. I think people will be pleasantly surprised. Seems like every time he touches the ball he gets 8-10 yards

I don't have the PFF membership anymore, but I feel like I remember looking up Hamler's deep ball numbers from college and the NFL and he was bad at both levels. I think Hollins (and MVS for that matter) are likely better for those types of passes but none of them are ideal.

I love Ty Johnson and would like to see more of him. But we NEED Cook also. that double punch is hard to stop. Maybe we see more of Ty this week... could be good. he needs more touches.

bro, i don't even get how they are surprised -- Ty has caught clutch balls and TDs for a while now.  he has a fast acceleration if not the best top speed and that's a change up for us.  kinda shocking the corches don't have him in there more, making teams pay for what they are doing (which sadly is working).

sometimes this team (same offensive system/lineage) falls into the dabol trap of seeking novelty vs finding the bread and butter and milking it for all it is worth.

Look at the injuries league wide. Colts - Richardson, Taylor, Pittman all out. Many teams worse off than the Bills and it's football. Players get hurt every game.

Richardson has never finished a football season in his life. Him being hurt is expected.
