The Patriots need to rid themselves of anyone who had anything to do with Bill Belichick.    They needed to go outside of the organization for the GM and the Coach.  Instead they hired two Belichick disciples.   Mayo is out of his depth.

Agreed.

Mayo will be one-and-done as a head coach.

They need to start completely fresh next year.

No reason not to start the kid.

They have worse weapons than we do and their o-line is supsect. Not a great recipe for success

The offensive line is TERRIBLE. Literally a collection of non-talents.

I don't know if you're aware of how poor the offensive line talent (and play) is on that team. Like, unbelievably bad.

I am aware. But he’s the 3rd overall pick and they are going nowhere. Might as well get the breaking in period started.

He is going to get brutalized.  Way to stick your rookie out there too early, potentially ruin his career.

Like Josh? He had a crap oline and crap skill players his first year. These guys have to sink or swim. The important thing is you stick by him even when things don't go perfectly. Josh knew that the coaches had his back.

Some organizations don't. They throw the guy out there and then talk critically of him and bench him for other guys when things don't go right.

Yea I think Kraft botched it…seems like they probably promised mayo the job once belichick retired thinking it would be a peaceful transition once mcdaniels flamed out in various locations 🤣

I’d only throw him out there if I had literally no other option…making peterman start a full season would’ve pretty much been capital punishment for everyone involved 😂

Levis

I wish Levis was a better QB. He plays like Allen but far less polished. He’s fun, but also has tons of WTF plays. If he ever calms down and plays within himself, he could be a good player. Unfortunately, I think it’s more likely he’s not the starter next year

I think they should Mayo and Wolf for years to come. Give them a 6 year contract like the Jets did with Douglas or a lifetime contract like the Dolphins did with Grier!

This.  The Patriots can't wait for a better OL to magically materialize.  There's no guarantee they can sign a good OL in FA next year, much less draft one.

I'm with you. Give him a full year to process.

They should be thinking long-term with Maye, but Mayo is starting to feel the pressure already.

Holy cow, his arms look like mine!! (I've never lifted weights)

I was just about to comment on the excessive masterbation that must have taken place to develop that type of muscle profile.

At some point he has to play. I get that. They were hoping that the Oline would bed in a bit the first few weeks and improve. It hasn't. Personally I'd have waited a while longer. My thinking would have been as soon as we say any improvement from the line OR the last 6 games regardless. I think this is a horrible situation to throw him into.
