My brother was tripped inadvertently at a friendly skate and went head first into the dasher of the boards and got a nasty cut as well as being knocked out briefly. The ambulance and the hospital both concluded he hadn't got a concussion. So in rare cases it is possible. I have been around people with concussions a lot and he certainly didn't act like a person who sustained a concussion after leaving the tent. Allen did not seem to have any lingering affects at any point as he walked off the field to when he came back into the game or through his play. Not even in the post game interview either. Allen can be heard talking about his chest like he more got the wind knocked out of him. Granted, he could be just saying that trying to stay in the game, but that is why he goes to the tent to be checked by an independent 3rd party head trauma specialist. He was cleared to go back in by that independent specialist, which ever since Tua's issues in 2022 it is VERY difficult to get cleared now where even the slightest suspicion and they will error on the side of caution and not let them back in. So I am not sure what someone watching from a TV thinks they know more about than the 3rd party impartial specialist who directly examined him and cleared him to return when they are incredibly strict now since the Tua issues in 2022. When it's a person who has been adversarial against the NFL and continually written articles about the concussion lawsuit and personally profits from the condition.. well.. There is one part that is convincing me more and more that he wasn't concussed. When he first hit the ground, he is pounding his feet up and down like he was in pain. It's not that they lost 2 in a row, though that's certainly a consideration, it's that they looked flat as hell, slow, disinterested, and poorly coached. Like I said in another thread, it's like the Jags were their superbowl and now they're checked out. The Jets game will be telling. If the Bills come out with their 1960s style offense, and do their 3 and out dance for the first several drives, it's safe to say that the last 2 games are more representative of who they actually are than the first 3. They're not going to get to play Arizona and the Jags in the playoffs, and right now this team looks woefully overmatched vs KC. But hey, we'll get lots of clapping on the sidelines, maybe some entertaining nuggets from the locker room or off field as the wheels come off.
