Crap... head coach bump... 3 losses in a row.

Jets lose Rogers 4 plays into a game and hold on to beat the bills as their defense plays inspired football

Jets fire head coach and hold on to beat the bills on a series of inexplicable coaching errors by buffalo in the 4th quarter

The last 2 games, Broncos and Vikings, were solely on the offense for a loss. That’s where the change should have been made.

Maybe Saleh wanted Hackett gone but Rodgers stepped in and woody sides with Rodgers? Just spitballing here but it’s possible

Yup. Saleh is a great DC in my mind. His defenses are always tough to play against, and have kept that team in it his entire time there.

Last season they were alive for a playoff birth until very late in the season despite not having an NFL offense or a QB

Maybe there is something to it. Aside from the first 2 quarter of the Vikings game, in which Rodgers gifted them points and couldn’t do anything; failing on 4th down to give them a short field for a TD, I'd say the defense has played very well.

Most people know the problem lays on the offense for another season. Scapegoat from the man they let cal the shots sounds about right.

Hackett must have the nuclear codes and secrets of the NFL powers that be.  I know he is always tied to Rodgers and nepotism is a real thing too, but the only time this guy has ever run a successful NFL offense was with Rodgers in his prime.  The guy is made of teflon.

Yea their performance the last two games seemed like the right time to bounce Hackett but they fired Saleh so the whole thing is pretty interesting

The Jets D is currently 5th in points allowed, 2nd in yards allowed, 1st in net yards per passing attempt allowed, and second in yards per drive. They're not the problem.

Hi, Coach Saleh. This is Sean McDermott. I heard what happened and just wanted to pass my condolences along to you. I think you're a great coach and do not understand what the Jets are thinking here... BTW, what is the Jets' game plan for Monday night?

Hearing he got escorted out I don’t see why mcd wouldn’t try that 🤣. They’re clearly worried it pissed him off enough that he’d take something with him

Jay Glazer on X: "Just talked to Robert Saleh who said was blindsided by Woody Johnson walking to his office and letting him go. Certainly disappointed he wasn’t going to be given the opportunity to get things going with what he said is a very good roster" / X

Still living off his dad’s name, who imo wasn’t that great a coach anyway. He coached Joe Montana. Very little of his input was due to Joe’s success lol

They have pieces but a very flawed roster
