A few findings from that:

Only Gregg Williams, Rich Bisaccia, Steve Wilks and technically Jerry Rosburg had a win percentage above .500 after their first game

Of the eight that won their opening game, only one opponent finished at .500 or better (2020 Bears finished 8-8)

Rich Bisaccia is the only interim HC to both win his first game, and have a winning record over their remaining games

None of the Interim HC in this period have been given a permanent seat yet

So what's the excuse du jour going to be here next week when the Jets beat the Bills?  Well obviously we can't beat a team that just fired their head coach!  That would be positively unsporting, and we know that above all coach McD wants to preserve the integrity and protect the shield at all costs!

 

Basically if the Bills lose this game McD should be next.  Not sure what has to happen before his seat warms up but I expect we're going to find out

Yea that’s possible…do the coaches completely take Monday off though?  I’m genuinely not sure.  Tuesday at 11 seems like it puts you a bit behind the 8 ball I feel like where I’d probably wait til after the big division game coming up to do it. 
 

I think there was probably some big Saleh vs rodgers showdown that happened today that caused it anyway and they did it as early as they could but my main point was it doesn’t make a lot of sense that it was specifically game performance related

I thought Monday after a sunday game (so typical schedule) was players to get in and checkout any injuries, watch tape, coaches watch tape...etc. Then Tues is OFF day (I think the Bills do the opposite days after a W but correct me if I'm wrong), and then WED would be the first prep day for next sunday. 

 

Maybe they spent MON cleaning up Sunday and tempers flared at Saleh from Woody.

Yea that definitely could be and I’m not sure how the flight fiddles with things either.  I don’t think they knew they were firing him until very recently but maybe the announcement timing isn’t solid evidence of that 

 

its coming out now he got escorted out by security, wasn’t allowed to address the players, and the defense is shocked by it which is all really interesting

Get replaced by younger guy.

Refuse to retire. 

Demand trade. 

GB says no, retire instead or be here as a backup to the new guy. 

Do the PR campaign and make it impossible for them not to trade you.

Get traded to the Jets

Have a so-so to bad year plagued by injury. 

Get cut and become a free agent. 

Go where you really want for the last 1-2 years. 

 

The achilles put him 1 year behind schedule, or he would already be on the 49ers, Falcons, or somewhere else in the NFC 

 

Brock Purdy turning into a pumpkin is lining up time-wise for Rodgers in just a few months. Although next season is still a year away the big moves are made in January

The last 2 games, Broncos and Vikings, were solely on the offense for a loss. That’s where the change should have been made.
