I live just east of Tampa - going through the brunt of it right now.  Still have power,  but winds are getting stronger and stronger.  No concerns of losing my house, but power (if lost) would be a major inconvenience

Worst weather for me will be between from now until 4AM.......5 inches of rain so far, 7-8 more to go......hope I keep power!!

I am sorry for all that you are going through. Hang tough, and may God bless you and your loved ones through these sad, frightening times.

Thank you so much for the kind comments.  Just lost power for the first time but just for a few min.  So knock on wood , so far this side , east coast north Florida , hasn’t been worse than expected.  Central area  , west coast like st pete , Englewood , Venice. Are getting slammed with waves and cat 3 , now down to cat two winds as it’s over Orlando.   Fort pierce git hit by a massive tornado today on east coast.  It’s heading toward port canaveral , Titusville area but now a lower cat 2 , which is where the launches occur with Elon and space x.

Tomorrow I fear for the results.   They actually had flash flood warnings in st Pete ,  clear water , areas as they had 9 inches of rain in lesss than 3 hours.  A new hundred year record and they are expecting totals to be over 15 inches of rain in 24 hours.  Pretty sure large parts of the west coast if Florida south of tampa will really be devastated as I have watched all day on YouTube weather cams set up all around Florida.

Again , thanks for the kind wishes.   It does help a lot just to be able to talk about this really stressful time. 🥹👍🏼😊

Just got through the worst chunk of rain....what is left of the core of the system just dumped 8-10 inches of rain......still raining but much lighter.....winds are still blowing 50-60, but south and east of Orlando they're 70-80.

Can't wait for this to end!!

Last I knew just a few sections.  Now what do the Rays do, play with a skylight for a few seasons or fix it

The worst part is this is where emergency crews were being staged and where they were sleeping.

Sounds like it may not be as bad as originally feared. That’s good news.

Over 3.2 million without power and basically everywhere flooded and entire neighborhoods under water including a lot of downtown areas...

Tampa got spared a little from storm surge as they actually had a reverse storm surge that sucked water away from them...but it is coming back at some point and nobody knows how high it will be when it does 😬

St.Petersburg with over 18" of rain

Yeah, I didn’t mean it wasn’t bad. But by all reports they were actually expecting a lot worse.

Well, I just tried to get out for an essential item and almost every road to exit my development was flooded.  I finally found one route, but trees knocked over including in my development.  For anyone in Tampa, stay home.  There are a lot of power lines down.  My wife is up with her parents, and to,d her to stay there until tomorrow.

How about any good news keeping this Bills somewhat related and trade for Adams.  You have no idea how these Bills stories were a pleasant distraction as a lot of people were somewhat scared.

Yeah.  Only 4 confirmed deaths so far. I was expecting something catastrophic like Katrina. I think what this proves is that the Tampa and surrounding areas are very well prepared for a hurricane.

That was a crazy 24 hours!!

Woke up after a few hours sleep with power!

12.5 inches of rain....about 8 of that in an hour and a half of constant blinding rain. At that point, the worst wind gust was 60mph but then the back end of Milton's wind field moved in around 5AM with 70-80mph winds!!

A lot of minor cleanup for me to do over the next few days, but overall, I will take it.

I hope everyone else made it through as safe as possible.

Hope you’re safe. We don’t get the rain in Southern California but we get the Santa Ana winds in the fall and spring. They can easily be 70mph and when you’re in that for many hours it becomes hard to believe that winds can blow that hard. You think to yourself “is this even possible”?

WAG, we actually just married early in this summer, and her first NFL game was experiencing me watching the Cardinals game.  She’s actually wonderful and thinks I’m funny the way I bark at the TV at times.  I did laugh though at your remark.  It was pretty funny.

The good news is it’s a sunny now in the early afternoon.  Hopefully the roads waters goes down in the next 24 hours.  It would be nice to start getting back to normal for those of us who haven’t had personal damage.
