Kirby Jackson Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I don’t mean to be Debbie Downer but I’m not sure that there are other options. I guess that they can take the PS receivers and replace Hollins and MVS. You hope that Shavers is an upgrade on Hollins and Hamler gets down the field. You hope for Robert Foster-like lightning in a bottle. Hoping to get lucky is not a great plan. Quote

The obvious answer is Curtis Samuel needs to step up. That said, the best depth we have is the RB room. All 3 RBs can run and catch. Maybe the solution starts there. So what about more two back sets? Put Davis/Johnson and Cook in the backfield and then split one out as a receiver. UGA did this often with Cook. I’d even go big and utilize Gilliam as a fullback to add more power running behind Gilliam and Alec Anderson/Knox. This also would force teams into single coverage and you might be able to hit some passes to Coleman and even MVS. Sometimes old school works. Other ideas? Gotta find ways to scheme some people open more often. Utilizing Samuel in some rational way would also help. Edited October 7 by BarleyNY 1 Quote
RichRiderBills Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Cole Beasley still in shape? Hunter Renfrow? Seriously we need a sure handed outlet and dump off dude. I like the Hamler idea on the outside. Edited October 7 by RichRiderBills Quote

Use more of the weapons they have available instead of keying on just those that have made plays . Johnson, Knox, Gilliam, Skantling, Q. Morris, & Hamler have all shown in the past to be dependable when it comes to using them in the game plan & to this point how many of them have been included ? Gilliam has great hands, Hamler has speed, Knox is more than capable of a receiving threat, & last season Ty Johnson was a stud, then Skantling was brought in for his speed element, but for the most part they have all been after thoughts when it comes to the game plans .. I don't get it Brady used Johnson last year with a lot of success but this year Davis has more time on the field than he does I just don't get it ... Quote
Trust The Process Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Let Allen call plays. Brady doesn't know how to use his pass catchers even if it smacked him in the face. Aside from Shakir, every single pass catcher regressed. Edited October 7 by Trust The Process Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I can't believe I am about to type this but... The heavy extra OT is not working because it is so limiting in terms of pass options. Oh god I'm going to vomit.... If they are going to run, get rid of the extra OT and start using Gilliam. Oh sweet Jesus forgive me... Perhaps this is recency bias after seeing what Baltimore has done the past two weeks. But seriously they need to get the TEs more involved and going heavy with two TEs and a FB makes more sense than a useless extra OT. MVS should take all of Hollins snaps. I'm done with Davis. They need to stick with two RBs the whole game. Davis can get snaps in mopup duty. Quote
