If they can remain halfway healthy and get Shakir, Johnson, Oliver, Rapp, and Miller back in action, they should be ok, though I believe their pedestrian receiver corps will continue to haunt them throughout the year.

On Houston?

I’m not saying guys were open every play, but when guys were open, Kincaid and hollins deep may have been 14 points.  Hollins again over the middle, Josh threw behind him.  The screen to Samuel, poor ball placement led to a loss.  And that’s just from the TV view.

Our WRs, minus Shakir are a poor unit, no doubt….. but Josh was terrible

Most QBs show some wrinkles on the road, its harder to play in general when you're in hostile territory.  Silent snap counts, harder to communicate pass pro, harder to call alerts... but that was just terrible.  You have to make them pay when your play works, and allen did a poor job on that.

2024: 3-2

2023: 3-2 made playoffs

2020: 3-2 made playoffs

yeah it sucks. McDermott isn’t a good coach in high pressure situations. But is it the end of the world. No. Just move on to next week and try and get a dub on primetime. And if not, look at our schedule. From here on out til around November is easier.

making the playoffs is NOT THE GOAL WITH JA.  Winning the SB is, and this HC has demonstrated every year, in unique and new fashions to his credit, ways to lose important regular season and then playoff games.

Josh Allen 51-20 since 2020.

Mediocrity? Or top tier that hasn’t gotten over the Chiefs hump?

or the Bengals Hump.  Or gotten a #1 seed, or won in the playoffs and only made 1 AFC Championship game.  Is that the technical definition of Mediocrity, no....but it's the commonly-used definition of mediocrity when you have the top (or 2nd) QB in the NFL.

The strategy to beat the Bills has been put out there.  Jets will take the middle of the field away.  It's time for good play calling or somehow these guys winning on the outside.  This is not an easy game anymore.

Mediocre teams dont make the playoffs and win divisions.  This doesn't mean the ultimate goal is that.

Is Josh a top 2 QB right now?

The Jets defense can be run on. The Bills need to establish the run with Cook. If they can't run, then it's going to be a long night. The Bills WR's vs the Jets secondary is a matchup that is not in our favor.

We can run just not consistently as Cook can rip off runs of 5-7 yards with ease and then other attempts he just gets stuffed.

I agree,

but why is making the playoffs seem as an accomplishment?

that’s a loser mentality.

it’s great to make the playoffs, but if you always come up short….

we have a quarterback that is absolutely having his skills and talents wasted, with his faults being kept in mind.

It’s not. To win a Super Bowl you have to make the playoffs. Anything can happen in the playoffs

JA17 does not play well against the Jets.

hopefully this week is different.

Both

Top 2 record the last 5 years.

We’ll need to agree to disagree on the mediocrity.

He is dumb....dating back to the Texans playoff loss after leading 16-0 mid way thru the 3rd.  13 seconds was his masterpiece in stupidity. He'd be a great HR administrator but I wouldn't want him running my company. He absolutely sucks with game management. I have no faith in him in the playoffs and that will never change until he's replaced with an offensive HC.

If you think making the playoffs is good enough, then good for you.

A QB like JA17 doesn’t come around all that often.

just making the playoffs isn’t good enough with a QB like him.

But to win the Super Bowl you literally have to make the playoffs 🤔

If your goal is to reach the playoffs only

to get bounced in the first round -

McDermott is your guy!!!!

if you are looking to actually win a title you have to make changes.

that said - Pegula only cares about money and could care less about winning anything
