How was Josh able to finish the game with a concussion?

Recommended Posts

No every head impact leads to a concussion. His helmet did bounce pretty good off the turf, but turf is a lot softer than another helmet, and it's not moving toward you.

If he passed protocol, it wasn't a concussion. He was absolutely lit up though, and looks like he was also hurting in the sternum area. The hit may have affected his play afterward.

Watch the play again.

His head hit the ground hard and he was down for several minutes.

Why else would Trubisky have to come in ?

He also looked unconscious for a few seconds or more. Watch his hands…he looked out

This would have been a good question...when the game was still going on.  When he showed up to the brightly-lit press conference and took questions for 3-1/2 minutes and it looked like every other presser by him...it's a non-story.

It was pretty clear that when his head hit the ground on the sack he got a concussion.

It's the NFLs concussion protocol a joke ?

Where did you get your medical degree?

That was a back injury.   Josh did what most players instinctively know to do….stay down until you are more stable.  It happens all the time if you are looking in nfl games. My beef is with the internet concussion experts who think they know what is good for everyone not on the bills but they don’t say jack when it is Josh Allen.

That was not a back injury.

To me anyone who isn’t wearing a guardian cap is being selfish and putting their ego ahead of the team. If Allen enters protocol early this week and misses next week. Was it worth it to not wear the guardian cap that reduces 12-15% of the impact of every hit?

He sure looked out cold to me. The only alternative I can imagine that makes any sense is that he got the wind knocked out really badly (like when you feel like you can't breath and are gasping for air). But he was motionless for a good 5 seconds after hitting the turf.

Its clear he had what is known as a  transferrable concussion. All the symptons were moved to Brady and McDermott, which explains there play calling on the Bills last two drives.
