I was really stunned.  I don't think I've ever seen a coach do that.  You run it 3x, make the Texans use their TO's and punt if you don't get the first, right?  Am I missing something?

If they ran into the line three times, Texans take 3 timeouts and we kicked out of the end zone to the 42, and the great kicker makes a 59 yarder, everyone would say that lost the game as well.

I prolly would have made a 1st down attempt but once things went the way they did I’m running the next 2 downs. Or maybe I’m running first and seeing want happens and go from there. Either way, the 3 straight passes were a horrendous decision.

No, I think you can pass it. Passing should be on the table with a QB like Allen. But not having designed plays to Cook, Kincaid or Knox for short gains and YAC in those situations is down right criminal. I’ll argue those three are the best targets we had dressed today. Instead? Low-percentage passes were the name of the game.

I would’ve ran on first to see how the Texans were gonna play it. If they called a TO, I’d play action the 2nd down and look to pick up the first.

I didn’t mind calling up pass plays. The 3 incompletions, however, was not ideal.

Josh wasn't hitting anything at this point so why now.

I could see taking the first shot to Coleman and if you hit you keep throwing, otherwise run it to have the best shot at OT where you are practically guaranteed a possession.   Plus our defense stiffened in the second half and kept/got us back in the game.  Why kick the field goal if you aren't going to play for OT?  Take the shot for a TD to go up by 4 instead.  Baffling to me!

Total disrespect for Houston's defense, lack of execution on O'line to allow Josh to make reads instead of scrambling. Early in the season, what the heck, throw the grenade!!!

Attacking the sticks three times right there was the best st thing they could have done, imo.
