Rigotz Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Brutal loss. Please post your silver linings here… there are some good ones. 1. The AFC East is a dumpster fire. The Bills are still a full game up on the rest of the division and the Fins, Jets, and Patriots all look like sub-500 teams. 2. Dwayne Carter has been shining as a rookie. Keon Coleman is TBD but at minimum, seems like he can turn into a good role player. 3. Bernard is back. Taron will be back soon. Von will be back soon. Oliver will probably be back soon. Shakir will probably be back soon. Milano will be back for playoffs. 4. We have a ton of draft capital and cap space to make a move this season or next. 3 point loss to a tough team in which we were down 20-3 on the road. Things will get better. ScotSHO Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Silver lining? Maybe the head coach will move on out of sheer boredom. 5 6 5 1 Quote
colin Posted October 6 Posted October 6 josh was trash, the oline was bad, and the wr's are worthless. all of that said, the OC is the biggest problem the last two weeks. the plays where they rush 4, play man w 6, and have a spy just move to the offensive right show us that. we are on easy mode, predictable and easy to stop. cook was doing well, but it's so obvious when we run, and have no screen and very little half back passing game. i might be allen's biggest fan, but if he's forced to drop back, he is terrible at spotting blitz pick up and who can come free. he's got bad habits (the always rolling right for example) and even forced the ball two times in a row that shoulda been picked today. the OC needs to see this and change things up, some pitch outs and designed runs to the qb would have gotten yards today, every time allen scrambled it led to good results (except that one time he threw the "basketball" to the ground, but he was OOB). how did we not try any of that when we had the ball in the red zone after the fumble? this o barely ever tricks anyone. brady is awful, and mcd wasn't good enough to run the d for ried. how can we expect him to beat the man himself? 1 Quote

I don't really see the silver lining. Coaching is simply not there. Bad penalties, bad playcalling, bad clock management, bad receivers, Josh looking off. I don't have confidence we even beat the Jets next week. Edited October 6 by Billz4ever 3 Quote
Steptide Posted October 6 Posted October 6 9 completions. If they don't do something at reciever, they're throwing in the towel for the season 6 5 Quote
SCBills Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Valid points, but it’s hard to see the bright side over the course of a long season when they are so limited at WR and the OC seems very much over his head. That can obviously change by simply not calling first down runs every time and trading for a WR, but neither are givens. Quote
Process Posted October 6 Posted October 6 The Bills will get healthy (hopefully) and likely win the division easily. Division titles are meaningless at this point. I have zero reason to believe this team can get into a shootout, let alone win one if needed. Houston is not our competition. They are overrated and not really a threat for anything. Look at the Ravens-Bengals game today. That's who we need to beat in January, in addition to KC. And right now, we can't compete with that. We don't have that kind of firepower or coaching. Changes need to be made. 1 3 1 Quote

Johnnycage46 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 This team as currently constructed and coached is a dumpster fire. The team's obsession with small, character guys, lack of any sort of ingenuity on offense, and an overrated bad head coach give zero hope for any silver lining. We will struggle against the Jets next week and likely lose. If so, I would honestly prefer they lose out at that point...we need change on the sidelines and we need a high pick for some REAL talent. T.E. Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Coleman, for as much of a space cadet as he is, seems to come up with big-time plays occasionally. They did have a gutsy second-half performance. Two 4th quarter turnovers by the defense was huge and clutch. The AFC East sucks. 1 Quote
