Problem is we had 2 deep safeties on that last play when they needed a few yards to attempt the FG Complete failure by the defensive coach Also gave up that 3rd and 15 and stood tall on 4th and 1 but yea, i get it.. JBI$111 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 This coaching staff is garbage and has been for a long time. Just enough in a bad division to get to the playoffs but constant poor decisions and completely clueless! 1 1 Quote

Oh, and the concern about our receivers was absolutely legitimate. What were they supposed to do given that running would have also resulted in a punt to midfield or worse vs a kicker who can make 65 yarders? Need to get a first there. Blank Stare Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Worst WR room in the league. Texans were begging us to take that game. Failure all around. Edited October 6 by Blank Stare Quote

That's abysmal, like completely horrendous. Crazy that there was even a chance to go to OT at that point, which of course poor coaching ruined anyway. 10 dropped balls, never seen a collective group of WR that can't catch a football 1 Quote

jcamm1966 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Keeping Hamlin cause of last year is stupid, cut him loose, get Cooper here on Monday 1 1 Quote
Dr.Mantis_Toboggan Posted October 6 Posted October 6 How many times can we just watch McDermott get out coached when it really matters, the moments when good teams become great??? Not like you can hand the reigns to the guy who just dialed up 3 pass plays out of his own endzone with 30 seconds left and no timeouts left in regulation, in a tie game, either… Quote
BruceVilanch Posted October 6 Posted October 6 2 minutes ago, buffblue said: Complain all you want about the end of game, but had the Bills gone run run run punt the result would've been the same. With Houston having all 3 timeouts and us pinned at the 4, we HAD to get a first down just to ensure overtime. There are PLENTY of things to complain about here, but the end of game is not one of them. Whaaaat? They wouldn't have had a timeout left and we likely would have gained at least 3-6 yards, thus making the punt go further back. This was terrible terrible end of game coaching, and terrible coaching all day long. Really really bad day for everyone, including Josh. 1 Quote
bills6969 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I just hope Josh is OK. He definitely was concussed. Can’t believe they let him back in. Head injuries could ruin a career (I.e Tua) 1 Quote

Everyone would’ve been mad we didn’t take one shot but once we took the shot and got an opi we were pretty much forced into that Quote
Danger Mouse Posted October 6 Posted October 6 1 minute ago, Rock-A-Bye Beasley said: McDermott was like “Im supposed to go for it here, I know because everyone got mad at me when I didn’t against Philly” he has no nuance to his decisions it really felt like that. Quote
Jerry Jabber Posted October 6 Posted October 6 This group of WR's are not going to cut it. I'd keep Coleman and Shakir, then get rid of the rest. 2 Quote
Billyhouseman Posted October 6 Posted October 6 So if McDermott just ran it 3 times into the line and forced Houston to use all their timeouts, you'd at the very least gain 3 to 5 yards, have a better punt, and Houston wouldn't of been able to do that dump pass to get closer....how's this not a fireable offense??? 1 Quote
