After that, it's all about performing in January - the Chiefs showed us time again. I know we have been so keen on "measuring up" to the top teams, getting the Chiefs to play in Orchard Park, etc. in the past. Turns out what really matters is being healthy and playing well in January. Maybe the McDermott and Co. know that now. Being a champion of the regular season does not count much.

 

Let's the young guys play. See what we can do Sunday. Learn and improve. Just don't lose games you are supposed to win.

Cody Ford over DK Metcalf will forever give me PTSD. Not to mention AJ Brown, but I was super high on DK. I wanted him at 9 when they took Oliver. Hated the Bills passing on him.

I posted this in the game thread too - doesn't this mean DeWayne Carter is the only possible 3T on the active roster? That new signing from Atlanta is a traditional NT. We have Branson Deen on the PS so I guess we'll call him up?

Not sure why all the gloom and doom about Shakir being out. 90% of this board wanted Diggs gone. We'll now you get what you wanted. A two TE run heavy offense that deemphasizes the greatest QB the franchise has ever had. 

Way to go Beane!! Without Shakir this group is actually worse than 2018. 

 

Best thing that can happen is Bills win another miracle game from Josh.

 

Second best thing is they get shut out and forces Beane to go get Adams.

Technically speaking, yes.

I expect we'll see Smoot and Toohill kicking to the interior on passing downs, with a rotation of Rousseau, Epenesa, and Soloman at EDGE.

I agree on the whole bargain bin, but I cant believe they didnt draft a second WR in a strong draft class after losing Diggs and Gabe

Every season is the same. It's crazy. We look like the best team in football in September, then we lose one game which causes everything to spiral out of control, and then we get hit with a ridiculous amount of injuries especially on defense.

That's been fairly typical for the Bills the past 2 or 3 years. Seems they're sometimes playing more reserves than they are the designated starters. Why?

Bad luck?

Coincidence?

Ineffective strength and conditioning program? 

Overly cautious about returning players to action?

Undersized players who get the worst of game action collisions?

 

So, if I'm calculating correctly...just on Defense we're missing: 2 D-linemen, 2 LBs, 1 CB, 1 Safety. 

Is that right? Is there more?
