PoundingDog Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Can the Bills make the playoffs? I think we can, beating up on bad teams should get us there. After that, it's all about performing in January - the Chiefs showed us time again. I know we have been so keen on "measuring up" to the top teams, getting the Chiefs to play in Orchard Park, etc. in the past. Turns out what really matters is being healthy and playing well in January. Maybe the McDermott and Co. know that now. Being a champion of the regular season does not count much. Let's the young guys play. See what we can do Sunday. Learn and improve. Just don't lose games you are supposed to win. 2 Quote

We will have zero pass rush and no safety valve for Josh, considering the Texans take away Kincaid. If ever there was a game for Knox to step up Yeah- I having a feeling we get rolled on sunday 1 Quote

He had to shop in the bargain bin, and that is why we ended up with MVS and Hollins (and Samuel as a low mid-priced free agent acquisition). We will see if Coleman turns out to the right pick in the draft, but our cap situation dictated the limited additions we were able to make to our WR group and our roster in general in free agency or trades. Our stupidity to sign Von and not draft a 2nd wr is what's killing this team. 1 1 1 Quote

Shakir is a nice player but even with him we are thin. Stop being cheap and go make a move Same. I don't want a guy that begs for the "who" or "Super Bowl!" response. 1 Quote
Success Posted October 4 Posted October 4 It's not like the Texans are fully healthy - their injury report is pretty extensive. 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted October 4 Posted October 4 (edited) I posted this in the game thread too - doesn't this mean DeWayne Carter is the only possible 3T on the active roster? That new signing from Atlanta is a traditional NT. We have Branson Deen on the PS so I guess we'll call him up? Edited October 4 by HappyDays 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Not sure why all the gloom and doom about Shakir being out. 90% of this board wanted Diggs gone. We'll now you get what you wanted. A two TE run heavy offense that deemphasizes the greatest QB the franchise has ever had. Way to go Beane!! Without Shakir this group is actually worse than 2018. Best thing that can happen is Bills win another miracle game from Josh. Second best thing is they get shut out and forces Beane to go get Adams. 1 2 1 1 Quote

I expect we'll see Smoot and Toohill kicking to the interior on passing downs, with a rotation of Rousseau, Epenesa, and Soloman at EDGE. 1 Quote

I agree on the whole bargain bin, but I cant believe they didnt draft a second WR in a strong draft class after losing Diggs and Gabe 3 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Every season is the same. It's crazy. We look like the best team in football in September, then we lose one game which causes everything to spiral out of control, and then we get hit with a ridiculous amount of injuries especially on defense. 3 2 Quote
SoMAn Posted October 4 Posted October 4 56 minutes ago, Process said: Taron was in a red jersey all week and didn't participate in any contact drills. Bernard I'm more hopeful about. Missing 4-6 starters on defense is just ridiculous. Meanwhile Texans only big injury is a RB 🤦♂️ That's been fairly typical for the Bills the past 2 or 3 years. Seems they're sometimes playing more reserves than they are the designated starters. Why? Bad luck? Coincidence? Ineffective strength and conditioning program? Overly cautious about returning players to action? Undersized players who get the worst of game action collisions? So, if I'm calculating correctly...just on Defense we're missing: 2 D-linemen, 2 LBs, 1 CB, 1 Safety. Is that right? Is there more? 1 Quote
