Ethan in Cleveland Posted October 4 Posted October 4 42 of 58 with at least two spikes of the ball Amazing I was wrong about that FA signing 1 Quote
Jauronimo Posted October 4 Posted October 4 The Falcons are fun. They try to blow games and then pull it together in the end after their opponents shoot themselves in the foot. Cousins is looking clutch. I don't even recognize him anymore. 1 3 Quote
SCBills Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Kirk Cousins… So happy for that guy. One of the truly good people out there. 3 4 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted October 4 Posted October 4 What are the chances any Bills WR gets 12 receptions for 154 this entire year??? 1 3 Quote

If he had a career with McVay or Shannahan, guys who were searching for a QB during his Cleveland years he would be a unanimous stalwart in the top 5 talk. At his best, Mayfield does a very good Drew Brees impersonation. He throws a tight spiral and has a live and accurate arm for a guy his size. 22 minutes ago, Chicken Boo said: Future Hall of Famer, Lavonte David. 21 minutes ago, Sojourner said: that dude is a freak athlete. great player. Lavonte David is the archetype for the modern day off the ball linebacker and one of the first to move the position away from the "plugger" or "stack and shed" linebacker. He had the athleticism and instincts to defeat the play without having to take on offensive linemen. Although I agree he's a future Hall of Famer, he's not Tampa Bay's greatest weakside linebacker... that distinction still belongs to Hall of Famer Derrick Brooks (14 seasons, 11 Pro Bowls, 5 time First-Team All Pro, Defensive POTY). 1 1 Quote

zow2 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 The Falcons lockeroom acted like they just won Super Bowl 60. There will be an emotional letdown next week when they go to Carolina. It’s how the NFL works 1 Quote

If the MLB game ended, as you say, when MikePJ stopped posting about it on the TSW football board, that is super odd… but does that necessitate spamming the football threads for the next month about every MLB playoff game? Also the commentary could’ve just as easily been dropped into fandom seppuku or the Spags JETS thread or why not even the dedicated MLB board here. The topic was “TNF - Bucs @ Falcons” not Thursday: Wide World of Sports Edited October 4 by goober Quote

Logic Posted October 4 Posted October 4 This was one of the best -- if not THE best -- Thursday Night Football games I've ever watched. Passing fireworks galore, a close, back-and-forth score throughout, two quarterbacks playing at the height of their powers in a divisional matchup in front of a fired up crowd, overtime, dramatic walk-off big play ending. It had everything. OUTSTANDING game of football. Games like this are why I love the NFL. 3 Quote
