Should the Bills trade for a top-tier weapon before the trade deadline?

Depends on how simple and the implications towards the following years cap.  The Bills just took some big hits this season to free up cash going forward so don't want to undo that good  for  a small improvement this year.  Like someone else posted if the team is 7-1 at that point, then maybe, but much worse stick with the plan and the plan whether they state it publicly or not, their actions spell mini rebuild year.

His signing bonus would prorate over the course of the 3 void years on his deal, less than 2M a year.  It’s stupid cheap.

I say no.

They're not contenders this season.

Let guys like Coleman, Bishop, etc grow a bit.    They'll be ups and probably more downs, but it's a necessity.

Twist the nip.

We lose another Prime year of Josh Allen.  We need to be going with the mindset to win the Super Bowl during his career.

Our Dud game was more due to poor coaching and not putting our players in position to succeed.   We should go after a player only if he is likely to be a long term Bills player.

This!

Now, were the coaches so focused on the Texans next week that they overlooked the Ravens and were punked? If so then history suggests that they will lose the Texans game also.

The Bills lost that game because of Bills coaching, in the trenches, a Buffalo receiver who couldn't get any separation, and a lack of ability to stop the run. Holy cow, Ravens 8.3 YPC AVG!!!! Those backup Buffalo LBers were schooled in the first half of that game.

On a better note, both Buffalo OC & DC coordinators are rookies to an extent and will learn. I think that this shows that McD is a "hands-off" HC and they made some adjustments in the second half to somewhat help the defense.

Difficult on offense to get anything done while running for your life. 427 yards to 236. Thankfully the Bills don't need to face Derrick Henry every game. Opponents have noticed the inability to stop the run. Returning injured Buffalo players should help the defense.

Needs: run stuffer, pass rush, a receiver who can get open/separation. JMO
