I didn't know the Astros were playing the Yankees too. That will add to the atmosphere in the city. I almost booked that downtown Marriott- I stay there for work several times a year. I went with the one closer to NRG. The Marquis is perfectly located for the baseball stadium. It has a lazy river in the shape of Texas and a really good sports bar called Biggios. I may head over to that hotel at some point to go to Biggios so may run into you. Go Bills!

The last Bills game in Houston was in the playoffs, the night before Christians tailgate had several blocks roped off, it was an extraordinary Bills event, best by far I have ever had outside of Orchard Park.

Same thing happening this year.  The street will be closed off and there will be a party down the block.

I had that one pegged as well and even had flights and hotels booked but had to back off as we had too much other stuff going on leading up to that weekend. We own a condo in northwest Montana and plan was to go out there and do a bit of maintenance for a couple days then catch the direct flight over to Seattle then direct flight back to Cbus the day after the game. Would have worked out nice. Oh well, that’ll be the plan for next time!

That would make sense since none of my Astros friends were super juiced about anything. Astros jerseys and hats have disappeared for a while.

It sure is. Absolutely love it out there. We’re in a great town (Whitefish) and are walking distance to downtown, Whitefish lake, and a number of restaurants & bars. 10 minute drive or bus ride (free) up to a major ski resort, and about 30-40 minutes over to Glacier national park. Flathead lake (huge) is about 30 min south and there are countless other lakes, rivers, etc to scratch just about any “outdoorsy” itch you could ever dream of.
 

We Airbnb it but usually get out there ourselves 4-6 times a year because we love it so much. I can work remote now for chunks of time so planning on getting some more extended visits lined up in the future!

Houston lost against Detroit. They’re not playing the Yankees. I’m from Webster New York, but I taught school in Houston.

The Tigers eliminated the Astros The Yankees will play the Royals.

In Texas for a wedding, but can’t make the game. I will however be watching at the San Antonio Anchor Bar, so that feels at least semi-Buffalo 🤣 🙌 🍻

Attended the block party in downtown Houston with my son. It was a blast! It's always heartwarming seeing a huge group if Bills fans in away territory.
