BillsFanNC Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) Yes, everyone knows he meant to say something else. But in a world where seven years later we still have to hear the blatant lie of the very fine people hoax on repeat it doesn't, and shouldn't, matter. Your rules. Sorry, not sorry. K D Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Maybe he misspoke like he misspoke about being in Hong Kong during protests or carrying weapons of war or about his military rank etc etc 3

boyst Posted October 2 Posted October 2 As a guy who was raised in the country to a middle class family, shucks, guys, sometimes I took mistpeak and must be unburdened by what has been and burdened by being in bengazi, China where I had mortars shot over my Chinook by the pearl harborors in Japan. I get a little off track when I'm passionate about something and think about two scoops of ice cream and the fine people on both sides. It's understandable when you inhale this much bleach and take ivermectin. I can't help but be impacted by a brain worm from eating Haitians. Have you seen my cat?
BillsFanNC Posted October 2 Author Posted October 2 (edited) An instance where if he said he simply misspoke most honest people would actually believe him. But instead ..... Edited October 2 by BillsFanNC

This is what kills me. Why can't he just answer? Why not just admit that he left out a word or 2. It was supposed to be "friends with victims of school shooters" — right? Why let this fester? Why so withholding? It doesn't make sense! https://althouse.blogspot.com/2024/10/mind-blowing-that-tim-walz-said-he-was.html Edited October 2 by B-Man 1

Chaos Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Walz is absolutely unquafilied to be VP or President. Having said that, he was clearly nervous and that was a slip of the tongue. Its silly to pretend he is friends with school shooters. Separately, given his tendency to embellish, I would not be surprised to find out that he is not "friends" with school shooting victim parents either 1 3

That’s what came out of his mouth. He has had ample opportunities to correct it if he misspoke, yet he has not corrected it yet so you have to take it as his word that he has befriended school shooters.
Unforgiven Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) I want everyone to close their eyes and imagine what the fallout would be had trump said these words... "I've become friends with school shooters" Why do I have to close my eyes? The media would make a big deal out of it and 90% of people would roll their eyes knowing that he misspoke. The "good people on both sides" comments was a little more complex which is why the left is able to pathetically push the lie even though they know it's bullcrap. Watching it live and the way Trump jumps from subject to subject quickly (sometimes mid sentence) I wasn't sure if he was talking about the Neo-nazis or the peaceful protesters who didn't want the Confederate statue taken down. But we end up in the same place in both scenarios, and the words are used as a hammer against the opponent. A free and independent media would certainly be a positive in weeding through the details and flushing out the truth, but that’s a heavy lift these days. So, individuals are left to figure out what was said, why it was said, and decide what’s true. One step back, in a nonpartisan sense, for a guy chosen as the best hope to lead the nation in the event tragedy befalls the president, that’s a pretty big f***up on a subject of great importance to just about everyone. 1

He clearly misspoke and this is much ado about nothing. Although it’s meme content gold. That said.. this guy is not qualified to be President. He is a straight up cartoon.

Agreed and it's a money thing. A network that treats both sides evenly doesn't get the ratings losing money. Inaccurate reporting is therefore incentivized. Biden's whole "reason for running for president" was based off a lie and like most politicians that make their way to the top he's a despicable human being.
