Von suspended for 4 games

This guy a damn walking money pit.  He is just wasted money thrown away by Brandon Beane and Buffalo,  and the worst FA signing ever in Buffalo.  This guy is a joke.

The team just pays people that don't play for us anymore or are useless for almost 2 seasons and all we can do is just sit back crack open a cold one and say WTF.

Gotta love the NFL, and in Millers case it stands for "Not For Long" and is the time we have left until we get him out of Buffalo.

The timing of this is pathetic.  Why wasn’t this done in the summer? Is there new evidence the league was made aware of?

Or did Goodell just get bored today

also as everyone is aware…certain other star players have been involved in seemingly endless DV cases and gotten NOTHING from the league

Sooooo….

Isnt there a clause in most contracts that a league suspension allows a team to void the remaining guaranteed money on a contract?

The Bills should save almost 8 million, enough to sign reinforcements player(s).  Hyde?  And, lets see what Solomon can do.  Yes, suspended w/o pay!

It would have been better for him to have been suspended last year when he was ineffective. This will reduce his chances of meeting any incentives this year.

Now we know where space is coming for new PS DT.  Somebody will be brought up from practice squad.  Hopefully Bills will get player back when Von becomes able to play again.

Yeah,

Ineffective last year, vs this year.

either / or.

Ignoring the serious ethical/human side of the story and looking at this from a purely practical perspective...

Von was going to get injured this season anyway.  The suspension replaces the injury.

When he comes back, he'll be fully rested and healthy.

Just looked at his contract to see how much cap space this will help the Bills. Not much due to the reworked contract. Only about $364k. But that led me to this thought. This looming suspension might have been why Von was willing to rework his deal. His break even with the incentives was 10.5 sacks. It looks like he will hit that - even if he misses 4 games. If he does, then he will come out ahead on the restructure by almost $4M. That is due to his lowered salary. Signing/restructure bonuses and incentives aren’t lost during a suspension. Only salary. That sucks.

Why would a team that values “ high character “ want this POS back?

It’s not his first time.

Stroud and Rodgers are statues.

Could really use him these next 2 games.

This ain’t good.  Mock him all you want but he’s been productive and has looked better than 80 percent old Von.

He's dollars for production one of the worst FA signings in the history of the franchise.

And he's a turd to boot.

it was a good business decision by both parties

anyone that bought the narrative that von was selfless and giving up for the team missed what happened
