few years ago there were no charges against zeke in Dallas either and they had eye witnesses say his former gf who was a stripper was mad he broke up with her and left her in columbus when he was drafted and made up a story about abuse.....he got a 6 game suspension and never had a legal issue.

It's like the league sat back and decided to drop this on us at one of the worst possible moments.  

 

On the other hand, what are the odds that when Rice is ultimately suspended.  It will be during the Chiefs easiest stretch of their already easy schedule.

Isnt there a clause in most contracts that a league suspension allows a team to void the remaining guaranteed money on a contract?

I tend to think the exact opposite. For the team, this is probably the best time for him to get suspended. He'll be back for the home stretch and playoffs.

For All we know this might be why he agreed to the restructure.  

 

I am not sure of the salary cap implication for those 4 games he has to miss though.

Oh sorry, you’re right about Rice, no official confirmation on whether he has a torn ACL or not yet.  So I guess if he is back this year, it’d be interesting to see if they get to his case by then and how it applies relative to the league policy.
