aussiew Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Does that mean we don't have to look at that ugly yellow towel again?
eball Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 i'm sure i'm in the minority, but i couldn't stand listening to that guy. what an obnoxious accent. and, of course, i hate the friggin' steelers. that said, he was a legend i guess, and it's always sad to see them go.
pkwwjd Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 as one who was in Chicago for Harry Carey's last season, and now in Pittsburgh for Cope's swan song, I say they both ended their careers too late. Both of them were exhausting and annoying to listen to. Cope, just cuz of his voice, and Carey cuz he was drunk most of the time.

R. Rich Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Does that mean we don't have to look at that ugly yellow towel again? 363592 I see it every day, so stop your whining. Myron will be missed, w/ his "Yoy" and "double yoy", and "okle dokle" jibberish.
/dev/null Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Carey cuz he was drunk most of the time. 363676 i think he was off the sauce by then and was just senile
BF_in_Indiana Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 It's about time. Myron Cope was so annoying to listen to on the air.
LewPort71 Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Listening to Myron was similar to chalk screeching a chalkboard... We had to listen to him when the Bills lost to the Steelers in Jan on our drive back to WV,,,and it was terrible....To quote Mrs. Lew." Do we HAVE to listen to this?" Oye..

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Thank God, couldn't happen soon enough. I was getting sick of hearing how wonderful that know-nothing was from all the enmulleted Stiller fans that live around here.
R. Rich Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 It's about time. Myron Cope was so annoying to listen to on the air. 363845 I didn't know you listened to that many Steelers broadcasts, Brandon.
Beerball Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I didn't know you listened to that many Steelers broadcasts, Brandon. 363923 Indiana and Pa. share a common border don't they?
AiO Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Indiana and Pa. share a common border don't they? 363941 Yes, it's called O-HI-O.
TheMadCap Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 The first time I ever heard him on the air doing a game I thought the guy was half in the bag....
BF_in_Indiana Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I didn't know you listened to that many Steelers broadcasts, Brandon. 363923 Yes I've heard plenty of them Rich. He's way too overbearing and should only be listened to if you plan to spend the rest of the day with a headache.
