frostbitmic Posted October 2 Posted October 2 It's hard to tell if he's lost a step when Pass Rushers are coming at him unblocked. Quote
VW82 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 He’s lost half a step not a full step. This was apparent last season. He’s still extremely fast for his size and a more well rounded player than the 25 year old elite athlete version of himself from a few years ago. Also, weird timing for this thread. It wasn’t a slight dip in athleticism that caused all the protection issues Sunday. 1 Quote

Scott7975 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) Josh is fine. He is protecting himself with the injured hand. Probably coaching also getting through to him that if he gets injured, the season is over. These games are not do or die yet. The guy has played through injury every year. Im sure he notices that it effects his ability. Edited October 2 by Scott7975 1 Quote

He may have lost the Eye of the Tiger Wrong movie brother. Eye if the Tiger was Clubber Lang. btw- Rocky came back. I still think those who think Josh has lost a step is sniffing glue, but to everyone’s point of view. 1 Quote

billsfan_34 Posted October 2 Posted October 2 14 hours ago, Eastport bills said: Why is it that after one loss fans start making irrational pronouncements about how a great QB,who clearly has changed his attitude about risking injury, has been diminished (lost a step). For three weeks he was the odds on favorite to be MVP without meaningful designed runs or scrambles that didn’t end in slides. You don’t want Josh exposed to debilitating injuries because this offense is nothing without his direction. Why would you question his training regimen or even want him to extend runs at risk of taking hits like the other night? Do you realize the offensive strategy against the Ravens allowed free rushers all night and he was able miraculously to avoid them. He should have been sacked at least 5 times. Our defense wasn’t prepared physically or coached to deal with Henry or their wide open receivers at any point in that game. It is not sustainable to ask Josh to play. throwing caution to the wind, like he did against Arizona when he almost broke his wrist. Our coaching staff has to take a good look in the mirror because that disastrous performance will be copied by every future opponent. Cuz it’s this guy - has always been special Quote

Yes because getting tackled to the ground carrying the ball with one good hand makes so very much sense, that he is being cautious to not fumble or further damage his broken hand/finger is so obviously unproductive from your perspective, I’ll text Josh and tell him not to be such P - - - y about his play, just busting on you a bit, so don’t get offended, lol, imo you are making a mountain out of a molehill, 1 1 Quote

ChronicAndKnuckles Posted October 3 Posted October 3 What a dumb thread. Didn’t we destroy the Chiefs a couple years back in the regular season and then they went on to win the SB? Let’s have this discussion when Josh hits his mid 30s. The Ravens have a top 3 coach in the league who came out w/ a better game plan. Quote
machine gun kelly Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I say we cut him now amd rol with Trubisky (Insert Sarcasm and foolishness now). Seriously, he’s if not the best QB in the NFL or at least top 3. Quote

Stiff arming Kiko Alonso or others. He seems slower. He’s still elusive in the pocket (barely). Is he showing his age already? Or didn’t he work out this past summer? I know they want him to stay in the pocket, but he’s been sliding 15 yards short of where he used to when faster. Perhaps we’ll never see the 15-20 yard designed runs to the end zone Go Bills. Has he checked with lost and found? 1 Quote
