*****kkkkk you’re right @BringBackFergy

He was only running 9.70 MPH yesterday and then juiced it up to 16.61. That tortoise.

Back in 2019 he was running way faster from further away! He even had a clean field and sunny skies!

I think Rich Eisen also hit 16mph peak in his fastest 40.........which was just under 6 seconds.     Peak speed for a skill player doesn't begin to get real impressive until you get in the 18-19 mph range.

Sick! Josh had what, 7 yards (after contact) to get up to speed? The whole argument is that he lost a step… pulled up a play from a similar(ish) distance from 5 years ago and the one from yesterday.

If I can find his max speed from a longer run this year, we can compare it to his 52-yard TD run against Pittsburgh in January when he reached 19.33 MPH. Which is what he was doing in 2018 and 2019 from longer distances… there were a few 20 MPH in there.

Just my own observation.

We all remember him sprinting down the field, fast, elusive. Stiff arming Kiko Alonso or others.

He seems slower. He’s still elusive in the pocket (barely).

Is he showing his age already? Or didn’t he work out this past summer?

I know they want him to stay in the pocket, but he’s been sliding 15 yards short of where he used to when faster. Perhaps we’ll never see the 15-20 yard designed runs to the end zone

Go Bills.

Edit: KC basically let him walk that in from 30 yds out. Great timing for Bye week. Let those old bones rest for a week.

Good read...

I saw an advanced stat that showed Allen running side by side with a superimposed image of a melting candle...and the wax won the race.

The fact that he threw, received and ran for a touchdown says more about the Niners inept defense than Josh's foot speed.

Man, you are intent on digging this hole for yourself! 😝 Determination is a good trait and you’ve got that!
